Was it @Rosa_Damascena that ate up all the coffee creams last Christmas?

Whomever it was just wanted to say I'm somewhat over it all now as Lidl has their little boxes of creams and have a salted caramel one this year.  Still have the violent creams (as their known in our house) so I've bought some for the OH.  And a pink gin version which will do nicely for a gin based friend.

Now of course if anyone spots any coffee creams, even pricey ones, I'd be willing to hear about them.....

I got coffee creams in Iceland, £1 a box.
They also had the Fry's bars that PLRFD posted, can't remember the price of those but they were less than a pound.
Only problem was, I think they forgot to put in the coffee flavour. Just shows how tastes vary.

I wanted some raw beef (stew/braising) to replenish my freezer stocks.

In Aldi it varied (pack size/quality) between £9.26 and £11.40 per kg.

I spotted some small roasting joints that were on offer at £4.95 per kg.
I bought 2 joints and cut it up myself.

You need a handy cave by the sound of it :)

You don't need a fridge or a cave in my area (Hitchin Herts), just a shed ... temperature below 4C for the next week or more.
Years ago I used to go out with a fellah whose mother was French. She kept her (plentiful supply of) cheese in a cage hanging on her kitchen wall.

I often think of her, when I’m buying more cheese.
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.

Better than inviting rodents to nest in the shed! Cheese is supposed to be kept at RTP to allow it to "ripen" - I'll stick to the fridge.

@Brie - yes 'twas me that lusted after the coffee creams. But am trying to be a little careful about my UPF intake so won't be rushing out to buy them, despite @PLFRD and @LindsayT 's kind steer in the direction of temptation.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.
  • Fridge here too Rosa. "The mark of a woman is the aroma of her kitchen" might be true for French women but... maybe I'm wrong. All caves and sheds gratefully received so I can test the theory

Sticky apple pudding from Lidl!  Now I love a sticky toffee pudding, hot with clotted cream.  But I do know it gives me a massive sugar rush that I suspect is not that good for me.  The sticky apple pudding wasn't nearly as sweet but still very nice so I'll be having that again.  Hot with hot custard.

And I get to count it as one of my 5 a day!!!

We just tried some of the Lidl deluxe turkey with sage & onion stuffing flavour crisps. I know sage can be quite overpowering, but that is all they taste of. I won't be buying any more.
