I thought this was worth posting as a heads up for people

Who mentioned they were looking for the christmas pate' with cranberries..? They have it in my store (East Yorks) - £3.49 - but it's not in a normal fridge it's on an end aisle fridge jobber. Itms.

fyi - I got a message from Lidl about their recall of the red cabbage and apples being incorrectly labelled as vegan (I think) when in fact it contains dairy in some form. The reason I got it is I have their app so they know I bought it. Unfortunately my OH doesn't do apps so if he had bought it there wouldn't have been any direct notice to us.
Presumably Lidl will be doing the same about the duck breasts.
@YoungBlueEyes
thanks for the heads up on the pate - don't think I was actually looking for it but likely commented that it sounded nice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I had a warning about a week ago that a white chocolate bar had been recalled, considering I bought it 3 months ago, it's long gone.

Use spring onion fried instead?Rosa_Damascena said:
But that is just stodge on stodge!! Where is the green on the plate?Brie said:
Looks like pierogies to me. I've never had them with salad. And Ukrainian I knew growing up would serve them hot and topped with a mixed of fried onions and bacon and with a big dollop of sour cream on top. Might have some nice spicy sausages on the side.Rosa_Damascena said:Just tried this product from Lidl. Verdict stodgy even with salad, and the taste isn't up to much either:

This isn’t a Lidl product, you can buy these in many places. The biggest problem is you are supposed to keep it in the fridge. I bought one 2 years ago, I wasn’t very impressed.YoungBlueEyes said:Spotted this in Aldi this morning. I didn’t buy one cos I could never make it last ‘til 1st Dec, and buying multiples wouldn’t fit in my fridge

What was wrong with it? Too tiddly or did you not like the selection. I've been wondering if I should nudge someone to buy it for my birthday.Murphybear said:

In the spirit of money saving, the cheese advent calendar is £9.00 in Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Ocado - definitely not a good buy at Lidl!2

I'm very disappointed with Aldi over their washing up liquid. I bought some Magnum Original washing up liquid as recommended by Which etc and thought it was great. I noticed their larger bottles weren't labelled as Magnum at all and the liquid wasn't nearly as good. I was fooled into buying another large bottle when they started to label this Magnum Original, assuming it was the same as the small one with that brand, but found it performed very poorly and was much more "watery". Examining the ingredients (image below) shows why - one of the active ingredients (surfactants) is considerably reduced in the large bottle (right) and another seems to be missing altogether.
Not the bargain it seemed. Isn't it considered bad business practice to downgrade a recommended product with no hint to the consumer that you've done so?
