That looks like Lidl to me.YoungBlueEyes said:Spotted this in Aldi this morning. I didn’t buy one cos I could never make it last ‘til 1st Dec, and buying multiples wouldn’t fit in my fridge

@YoungBlueEyes - tinned beans are ideal for curry in a hurry, the whole point being you can avoid the pre-soak / boil.

The Gungho Peas- or whatever they are called are known as 'Pigeon Peas'. My vegetarian friend has stocked up with them, he thinks they are great. They also had tinned butter beans in my Aldi. Think they were 22 pence per tin.... probably none left as that was a week ago.
*I see they are called gungo peas, but hey, gungho sounds much better!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Just tried this product from Lidl. Verdict stodgy even with salad, and the taste isn't up to much either:

Sorry yep the cheese advent calendar is in Lidl, thanks Rosa. I was in Aldi for my main shop then had a quick squizz round Lidl just in case of bargains (none to be had)

I've found this re kidney beans being toxic. The issue is with dried beans, not tinned -

Looks like pierogies to me. I've never had them with salad. And Ukrainian I knew growing up would serve them hot and topped with a mixed of fried onions and bacon and with a big dollop of sour cream on top. Might have some nice spicy sausages on the side.Rosa_Damascena said:Just tried this product from Lidl. Verdict stodgy even with salad, and the taste isn't up to much either:

In a cold Ukrainian winter, I'd be happy with this:

If green is really required, I'd go for cabbage.
I can't see 'dumplings' going with salad anyway.4 -
And sauerkraut in the stuffing!! That's 2 veg!!! Likely some potato also involved - there often is with pierogies!!! Yes it's with healthy food like this I've ended up with the sleek lean body I (don't) have today!!!Katiehound said:
