Middle isles of Lidl have a 50% off for the next 4 days (I think).

I picked up a king size electric blanket for £15.. which seems £10-20 cheaper than other stores I've been looking at them.

Must admit the 50% off took me by surprise - I hadn't noticed anything like that on the app.  Looking now I can see there's something about a "Middle of Lidl BIG SALE" but nothing about what that actually means other than not black Friday things.  The only 2 decent items that I could spot were a meat grinder (great if you wanted to make your own sausages...) and a fan heater.  The heater though was priced at £24.99 and I didn't think that even at £12.49 it was that much of a bargain.  Seemed a bit like increasing the prices simply so that a discount could be given without hurting profits.

But I also got the "free" bag of chocolate money....  and a free donut for having a birthday.

    Happy Birthday @Brie !
Thanks!  It was a couple of days back but the doughnut can be claimed for about a week later.  Had to buy a second one so the OH doesn't grumble when I'm munching on mine!!

4th to 8th while stocks last.
slightly miffed that the hoover I paid £100 for a few weeks ago will now be 50 quid if they’ve got any left.

wouldn't have been included if it was a black friday item.  they are the big exclusion.

that said - anything that lingers at Lidl gets reduced eventually.  except the cat that sits on the trolleys.

I used to live in Toronto @Brie and went to secondary school there (Mount Pleasant). I loved raccoons. We never had any problems with them that I recall, but we lived near a big park and several ravines.

My Canadian cousin says that there are raccoons in Germany, that's why they appear in the ad.

Seagulls here open up the wheelie bins and food waste bins. Even if you weight the lids down, they use their body weight to push the bins sideways. They also shoplift from shops with automatic doors, which is quite comical when they waddle out with packets of crisps.

Just couldn't resist observing that seagulls are not alone in waddling out of supermarkets with packets of crisps! 🤣

I popped into Lidl today and the entire middle aisle was 50% off.

I noticed a £90 sewing machine that would be £45

I haven't seen this flagged up anywhere so it was a bit of a surprise
I started another thread somewhere about this (supermarket discount thread maybe?).

Anyhow I got a king size electric blanket for 15 quid (£30 in without the 50% off).
I thought "bargain" and felt kinda smug I got something I wanted before they sold out, as I usually miss out on good deals.

That was a bargain, I bought it full price last week! None in the large Lidl this afternoon but then I thought it was a BF deal. Good on you for snapping it up!
