I'm pretty sure I've contacted the virus, I should have a test but that would be bringing us into contact with marina's staff, and we'd rather keep to ourselves and not take any chances of spreading anything on. We've been nowhere really, except to a small 'quiet' market last Friday where I visited 2 stalls, wearing my filtered mask. I've had high temperatures, chills, upset stomach, and no appetite (very unusual for me) since around Monday.
Thank goodness we had a good supply of Lemsip and paracetamol on the boat which has kept my temperature down, and feeling sleepy. NHS app tells me I've to isolate for 6 days. Hub's tells me he's feeling fine.... so fingers crossed. Maybe his 2 Pfizer jabs are working better than my two AZ jabs?
Anyway, I'm on the mend and haven't needed to take any paracetamol so far today - last night I couldn't get my oxygen level up to over 93, so I took a Lemsip, 2 tablets and went to bed. Woke up very sweaty but feeling loads better.
So, instead of going to the shops, I've now booked a Tesco delivery for Monday, alerting them to us isolating. Thank goodness Tesco do cough mixture and lozenges.
I'd only eaten half a bacon sandwich (which Hub's cooked) in over 4 days, he's had to make his own dinners, such as a cheese sandwich, and a calzone from the freezer, which has helped this month's budget quite a bit. Tesco order should come in about £78 (including medicines), which should last us a bit longer than a week, leaving us about £30 for fruit/veg and milk for the rest of the month - should be doable fingers crossed.5 -

I’ve heard that the AZ vaccine is less effective than the Pfizer against the Indian variant. Fingers crossed you get over it quickly 🌞🌈

I can’t believe it’s only the 13th and I’ve go so little budget left! Also a 5 week month for me paywise. I’m currently at £149 spent out of a budget of £190 😱. I’ve got ingredients in the cupboard so will have to do some batch cooking for the freezer today and hope I can spin this out until nearer payday. Have a feeling I might just go over this month 🤔 never mind 🥖🥪🍰🍏🍌🥦🍅🥕SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 ? Just clocking in for the last couple of days. Spent £9.60p on our Friday night chippy tea, and £2.80p yesterday as we were having a family game night and wanted some snacks. It actually came to more, but I strategically used my last Clubc'rd voucher to minimise the actual spend.
The grocery stannding order came into the account, I am finding transferring the money and usuing a separate account is working wonderfully... current balance is £99.17p. That's £80.00p this week's budget, and £19.17p leftover from previous weeks.Debt Free Journey started 21.05.20175 -

Hi all, just a quick check in midway through the month. We’re currently at £226.29/£450.00. That leaves us with £223.71 for the rest of the month. I just did a big click and collect for Waitrose this afternoon and that should last us about 7 days for some fresh items and much longer for other items bought in bulk like dishwasher tabs, 3x Finn Crisp packages, 4x boxes of oat bars, 2x boxes of cereal, dried beans, etc. We’ll top up the fruit, eggs and milk as we go along the next week.I’ve been mainlining strawberries like they’re going out of style so that’s been taking up a lot more of the budget. Normally I would cut up less berries in order to stretch them but I’ve been feeling profligate and greedy lately so have been eating them whole because they’re so delicious this season. Well, better than binge eating sugar and chocolate, I say. 🤷♀️ Mr. Jings has also been eating a lot more meat lately so that’s also pushing the budget up. He’s become more of an omnivore now instead of a vegetarian or a ‘sometimes-atrian’ as he called eating meat once in a blue moon. 😂 He’s been eschewing tofu too recently because of the digestive issues it gives him so finding another main protein besides beans, eggs and cheese can be a bit difficult.
I’m trying to reduce my meat purchasing though due to us likely moving in mid-July. We’re in the process of purchasing a house and moving cross country and the last I want to move are frozen chicken legs and frozen peas! Time to tend to dinner and catch up with the rest of thread. Have a good evening everyone; I hope the weather is as gorgeous where you are as it is here!3 -

Does anyone else have a partner who can’t even get the easy jobs right let alone be replied upon for anything for complicated such as DIY?!Here i am again.... Older but not any wiser!
