Whizz everything up in my food processor, and form into burger patties - they're quite soft, but put enough porridge oats on them and (with delicate handling) they stay in shape when being pan-fried. And they are very filling.
Just worked it out on the Sainsbury's website, comes in at roughly £3.00 (including the rolls, but not ketchup etc) for 6 substantial burgers - the mix freezes really well too.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

Budgets updated to here
Took stock of my finances yesterday and feel a lot better about things. Whilst I've gone over my original budget for the month, I now have £49.19 to last me for GC and I really don't want to go over that.
I spent £7 of it last night in the big Mr T though on 2 boxes of coffee pods - I am now the proud owner of a Dolce Gusto machine after an unexpected cash gift from a relative, and have become totally addicted to the Coconut Flat White - they are £3.50 a box and not available near me, hence I bought two. I'm hoping to be really disciplined and ration them out a bit more than I have been!!
Fridge is still pretty full so just need to get my bum in gear and work out a bit of a meal plan! Back on SW as well - I've been a member all along but discipline has been ... variable shall we say! Back to real life groups now and that helps motivate me for sure, so onwards and upwards!10 June - £49.19 budgeted for remainder of month
10 June - £7 big Mr T on 2x coffee pods - £42.19 remaining

I'm a bit "plot lost" here; I know I've spent £90 between the market & the bakery this week, but there was a supermarket spend too & I can't find the receipt for love nor money. It wasn't much - milk, cream, bananas, kale & spinach, sliced bread for OH - but IIRC it was over £10 so there must have been a few other bits. I'll add the £90 & dredge out the bottoms of all my shopping bags... anyway, shouldn't need anything major until next Thursday/Friday so I may not be too far adrift. Stuff has definitely gone up a lot, though...Angie - GC Aug25: £478.51/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 28/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)5

I had to buy some extra provisions last week as I had a visitor to cater for. That was £40.88, in Mr. S, then needed some bread, milk and fruit that brought the total to £44.18.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget5

Did some shopping yesterday and spent £4 in M*rks and £0.75 in S*insby's which means my new total is £45.99/£120 and my average daily spend is £4.18, yet more evidence that prices are going up."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."
