GSDMum, I cannot believe the market stall was reselling Co-op fruit. That shows they brought sub standard produce from the supplier that wasn't up to Co-op specification
Pip, you have M&S to thank for donut peaches. They "designed" them years ago with a stone fruit supplier as a premium item. After a few years they've become the norm.).
I just thought the Co Op packaged donut-peaches were an over supply issue - never thought it was because the product was sub-standard. I live and learnGoes to show how naive I am!

Another shop yesterday but nothing that I didn’t ‘need’ although I forgot DW tabs! 22.51 on things to make up meals for the week although I’m not sure I like how much that is for such a small amount of things! Literally items like cheese, fruit, little extra veg and I still didn’t get cucumber or Tahini which I actually wanted (or DW tabs!) Anyway, I’ll still need those later this week but for the time being have plans for meals this week and lunch supplies too! Also thanks to whoever mention Olio ... I’d not heard of it and have someone in my village who gets Friday and Saturday hauls which meant I have a lovely green soup for work this week and some sesame bagels for breakfast!Happy Sunday everyoneFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Yeah the co-op peaches for sale on the market will have been sub-standard and will have failed quality control. Sorry

Sallyp2 said:I have stopped buying weekly & monthly magazines, they are just so expensive nowadays and generally full of badly written guff about people I've never heard from those awful celeb TV shows. I stopped buying a Saturday newspaper after they just wrote the same stuff about Brexit & Covid week on week. Saved me some money, reduced my paper environment trail and gave me more free time.Still plodding along with my yearly challenge. £811.15 out of £2k budget so on target so far. 😁 I allow £30/month for bulk/big shops (£27.50 for Feb) and £4.50 per day otherwise. I have spent £26.29 out of a max of £165 for June. I'm trying to keep a bit aside for later in the year if I can as prices seem to be rising quite noticably and I don't see this changing anytime soon.Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend
Coming in with spends of £19.31p yesterday, as we had a day out, and also decided to buy stuff to make burgers. I had planned on making curry but the weather was far too hot for that! It was with budget though, so all fine
Also £50.31p today for the week's groceries. Went to T3sco and usually use the self scanner, but the handset died halfway around so I had to be really careful, as I only take the "grocery account" debit card now. I had also forgotten my shopping list, but somehow managed to come home with everything *and* stay well within budget. £36.09p left in account.
Also as someone mentioned earlier, I have definitely noticed an increase cost for a lot of products. It is definitely a good time to be aware of what you are spending! I'm happy with how my budget is going, but it is hard work and I know I would be spending triple the amount if I wasn't being so careful!

A couple of spends for me over the weekend.
£6.63 at a service station on the way to the In-Laws - the result of having not shopped on Friday, no bread/milk for breakfast so ended up buying something to eat on the way.
Also did a Tesco shop yesterday for £88.09 - £33 of which was alcohol - really does make a difference to the total.
£123.58/£561.00
I'm going to try and delay the needed musclefood order a few days and eat up the random bits and bobs in the freezer and get the meat delivered towards the end of the week..
