I put myself down for a £300 budget for this month because i didn't think i needed that much. I've just done my Morrisons order and thats come in at £250 ... i've already spent £40 and i my veg boxes come in at £70.
Dang that means i'm over budget already... ... Gosh it's only the 3rd! crikey .... Do i try and slim my Morrisons order down or do i suck it up and accept im way over this month
Perhaps walk away and come back to your order in a few hours to see if there's a change of plan for some products. Or as you say, suck it up knowing you might not need to make those tempting visits to the shops.7 -

Aldi £14.41 / Iceland £5.60. Had to pop into Iceland to get some more 'Funny Feet'. They are back from the 80's but only available in Iceland. They are smaller than I remember ... or perhaps I need to shrink7 -
I thought £50 a week would be more than doable for us but I saw felix food all went up by 50p and im wondering if groceries are following suit. I hardly got anything for my 20 odd pound the other day.7

Well, my "under £50" non-perishables trip to L!dls came in at £72.37, needless to say. But on the bright side - they did have Marmite! And chickpeas, which they often don't. So the store cupboard is well-stocked. I can't spend too much at the market tomorrow because I forgot to go to the cash machine, so have a limited supply of the readies at my disposal. But still need to go to the butchers & the bakery later on too...Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8

Aargh, there's clearly something in the water, I've spent more money too!
I spent £4.80 at Mr T on eggs, frozen fruit, olives and satsumas and does anyone else hate the way they show the clubcard prices discount on the receipts? I find them listing the discount(s) as a separate section makes it much more difficult to tot up how much one has actually spent when I'm trying to sort out which pot(s) the various items should come off.
Then I spent £3.65 at M*rks on milk and tomatoes which brings my total to £24.08/£120 and my daily average to £8.03.8 -
Ive spent £7.99 and £13.05 from the £21.24 I had .
£50 a week challenge, spent £49.80
So this week im left with 20p.
Roll on Tuesday.8 -
Interesting weekly shop this week. Much closer to budget though.
Spends: £land £7 / Aldi £27.93 / Asda £22.70 / Sainsburys £24.68 = £82.31
This week I've tallied what I spent on bunnies £6 and cleaning/laundry £9.73 = £15.73 non food. So it makes the food spend £66.58, which when added to the top up shop Wednesday = £86.59. In total this week I've spent £102.32. Ideally I need EVERYTHING for around £80-85 p/w
I meal planned again, but this week ONLY brought what I needed e.g. 1 tin kidney beans, 2 tins of chopped tomatoes etc
I am going to try really hard to eliminate / minimise the top up shop mid week. Also used cash this week, until I ran out of cash to pay for sainsburys, but I would have had enough cash if I hadn't done the mid week shop!
