thriftwizard said:I'm "off" into our June budget with a spend of about £90 between the market this morning & the supermarket this afternoon, which has bought us most of the fresh stuff we'll need for the week. I need to sit down & work out the exact pounds shillings & pence, but haven't had a chance yet; it was £55-ish at the market & £35-ish at the supermarket. I'll also need to do a run to L!dls early next week but will aim to keep that under £50, for loo roll, washing liquid (can't get DD1 to accept my eco-washball, though the rest of us love it) orange juice, coffee & butter. Also Marmite, if they have any; I haven't seen any anywhere for weeks now. We always used to have 2 or 3 in the store cupboard but they've gone now. I think I've run into most of the supermarkets in Dorset hunting for it, but no-one's had any for weeks on the days that I've been in...

Hi all, hope you are keeping well!
It is fabulous weather here today, so I decided to get out and do my grocery shopping early this weekend. We had a final £7.50p spend yesterday, from last week's budget (for our Friday night chippy tea) which brought us in at £60.10p total spent, so we were £19.90p under budget for the week.
Our £80 budget was transferred to the grocery account yesterday, and I have spent £61.24p today on the week's shopping, which isn't bad given that is is half term week, so the teens are at home all day. I bought extra fruit, and am adding a couple of items to my baking list, so that they have plenty to snack on.
Have a great Bank Holiday everyone

Hello @elsiepac and thankyou for starting this thread. It is very motivating to read along and even when I've somewhat come adrift I still find myself thinking "now what needs using up first?" so it is evidently sinking in to the little grey cells.
Could you put me down for £120 please?
Thanks a lot, goldfinches.6 -
@elsiepac thanks 😊 please put me down for £350 again this month. DD is back from uni in mid June so I don't think I will be reducing my bills this month. Though I have been buying click and collect from M0rri3sons so I will try to get more from the cheaper supermarkets.7

1st day for me … going to pot some plants in a minute and then go to the knitting wool shop.
