I’d love to join for June if possible please - Our food spending is out of control of late we are still trying to get out of the lockdown habit of treating ourselves as there’s not much else going on .. and it’s proving quite hard to break! 2 adults & 2 fussy kids here .. aiming for £550 this will run from 24th - 24th

Hugely underestimated how much i would spend in May on groceries, as well as how much I have been/am spending due to bad habits and boredom oh and bad planning. Ideally want to be stricter this time round for June ... so everything is crossed. Will do my utmost to report in, no excuses for either forgetting or lack of time, otherwise before i know it the challenge has gone awol from me for another month.
Aiming to spend no more than £350, which was my target for May plus 10%. Will try again for June. Good luck all 🤞

Can I be put down for
£150
Thank you.£71.93/ £180.005 -
Hi everyone, I'm back.
It's always good to return here, although sadly this time it is out of necessity as husband just had his work hours cut in half
Our budget is £80.00p per week for myself, husband, two teenagers and a dog.
I have arranged for the budget to be transferred into an unused account weekly, to keep it separate. I used to prefer cash, but that's not really convenient when a lot of places are still card only.
We did a store-cupboard inventory last week, but as we don't buy things we don't need, we have a little bit to work with, so I am confident that I can make budget.
Good luck for June everyone
X
Edit: Back from my weekly shop. Spent £14.95 in @ldi and £36.76p in T3sco, so a total of £51.71p, so we have £28.29p left for the week. We usually have a chippy tea on a Friday, but the chip shop near us sells HUGE portions, so we can share an entire one between all of us for £2. Other than that, we probably won't spend again this week.
Also managed to get a (much needed) "free" ink cartridge for our Printer, outside of grocery budget, as I apparently had £30 of club card vouchers.Debt Free Journey started 21.05.20177 -

This is the first day of my new month as it starts on OHs payday. We shouldn't need to do a shop for a couple until the end of the week as we have plenty in stores at home. If anything we'll probably do a meat stock up for the freezer to last us the month ahead. I'll get a food plan done tonight for the rest of this week and go from there. Thanks @elsiepac for updating my budget for this month.

Hi @elsiepac thank you for starting this thread. I hope you’re doing alright as you’ve been missed on the May thread. When you have time, could you please put me down for £450 for June? We’ll likely be running down our freezer and fridge yet buying a lot of convenience food since we may be packing for a mid-July move. Thank you!6
