Awful weekend.  Left yesterday and found the room I had rented was awful.  Filthy wasn't the word.  Walls filthy, carpet stained and filthy, broken furniture, walls part plastered, taps not working, to name a few things.   Left there and now in a cheap hotel.  What a mess!
It's grim at the moment but it WILL get better. This time next year you'll look back and wonder why you stayed so long.
    . . .I did not speak out

    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me..

  • Have you had a look online at your local councils website to see if you can get help with rent, might be worth giving them a ring?  I think you said you had a joint property but due to your situation you might still get help.

The worst part is over now, I know you have had a shock but you have made the break.  It might be worth having a look at the notice boards on any shops / post office near you, I know in the area I used to work in private landlords would put cards up rather than advertise, some local churches have housing which are usually quite good, they offer help (you don't have to be a church goer).  Have a look on FaceB00k, maybe for a house share, i've had a few friends use them, they only shared a kitchen?

Keep going, it will get better. X
