They simply said the v1 tariff was withdrawn so I re applied for v2 with the cap now increased to 11p on the 14th April but the 15p standing charge still in force. I have to say I was disappointed as Octopus usually honour requests to change tariff if they are made before it changes as mine was. That aside I am very satisfied with Octopus and they did give me £9.00 compensation when I complained.Irratus_Rusticus said:@tlcgrantham: Do they explain why a refusal? Or is it just a ceiling of users on the tracker at any given time?1 -
"Once you've signed up to the tariff, the cap will be in place for the length of your tariff (12 months) - but as with all of our tariffs, we're constantly reviewing wholesale energy prices and may amend the cap in line with the cost of energy down the line."

"The cap that's active when you sign up will be in place for the length of your tariff. Tracker exposes you to wholesale prices, astronomical at the moment, so we’ve included a cap to protect you from market fluctuations, but it could be different if you signed up at a later date"
