Not heard back about my Gas Tracker email yet either... I just found it impossible to find time to ring them though and don't do Twitter0

If you sent a request for v1 before 4pm on Sunday then you should be OK.
For some reason they seem to respond to Twitter much more quickly. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Since they specifically say 'enquiries', not 'acceptance', the previous cap should be offered to you.eliza2811 said:
I sent an email enquiry at 1am on 29th Aug. I didn't accept any terms and conditions for the Gas Tracker yet 🤞🏼macman said:If you sent a request for v1 before 4pm on Sunday then you should be OK.

Also worth remembering guys that you don't have to switch immediately, you can set it for a date in the near future. I set mine for the middle of the month so I can save a bit more on my current variable rate, then will move onto tracker at the agreed rate on switch day. Just accept the tariff offered and ask for a specific date for the switch to occur.1

After a delay in getting back to me, Octopus has just accepted my request for the old 16p cap.

Still waiting to hear about switching my gas to Tracker (electricity is Go Faster) after a week. I sent reminders via email and Twitter DM a couple of days ago.0

That is curious. I specifically asked them on the phone about post-dating my switch - but they said that would only happen at the rates available then, not the ones from pre-cap declaration.niktheguru said:Also worth remembering guys that you don't have to switch immediately, you can set it for a date in the near future. Does someone know how to read these tracker charts and what it means for one's tariff?
It seems to mention a "daily cost" as well as a "wholesale price". What's the difference between the two, and which am I being charged?
