Octopus Tracker

For my energy region, tomorrow's actual unit rate for electricity would be 55.2p/kWh, the first time it has gone (slightly) above the July 2022 v1 cap... and it's only August!

The tracker can also be done online but for both types of energy, so if you only want it on gas so alongside Agile, you then have to get CS to do the switch.
The problem with CS is it seems many arent well trained on these tariffs, I had multiple people tell me the tracker isnt capped, and also someone tell me Agile is only for people with solar panels.0 -

There might be others but that should get you started. Thanks! So for tracker it appears to have caps that are slightly lower than the 1yr fix I already have with them (56p & 17p), with the potential to go lower (although I don't expect to see that any time soon). I'm not sure what the downside of switching to that would be unless the caps are free to change, while I'm guaranteed this price until next August, but people are saying 12 months? For Agile, well have a connected smart meter (even managed to take part in a couple of 'plunge' pricing tests in 2020), but is that electric only? I guess I'd need a gas tariff, which I assume would be the SVT (currently predicted to cap below my fix until it gets warm).I see a 'subscription fee' that is priced and described like the standing charge, is that what it is or is it in addition to the SC?Don't have an EV so I'm stuck there.Finding it hard to see the downside in the current climate. So what am I missing?
I would go for it still - I am still recommending to people they go for it if its close to their fix as the possibility of being under the cap is still there, albeit low. To be fair, tracker is not pegged at the cap still at the minute, so you would still be under:

Tesla Energy Plan (open to Octopus customers with working smart meters and a Tesla Powerwall 2): https://octopus.energy/tesla/tariff/Two small adjustments:Intelligent is also available to those with compatible EVSE, not just the listed vehicles. Currently Ohme is the only supplier on the EVSE list.Tesla Energy Plan also requires Solar PV and has some detailed rules about how much Soloar PV you can have before you need more than one Powerwall, and also limits on how much energy you can consume in the daytime, all clearly listed at the link provided, but worth knowing about in advance.
