Hi. Yes, I am aware of that. I have switched away from the Tracker before. I’m currently on Octops’s 10 month Money Saving Octopus tariff. That’ll run out next summer, when I’ll be able to switch back to the Tracker if it is competitive. I’m quite happy with my present tariff.

Is the Tracker tariff finishing, as last year we were put on the lastest Tracker tariff when the current on ran out.

    Just had this email….

On 15th February 2026, your fixed tariff ends (Octopus Tracker December 2024 v1 Ending 15/02/2026) and you’ll automatically roll onto Flexible Octopus, our standard variable tariff. You can see tariff rates on your online account.

Just received same email so have replied asking what on earth is going on.

Keep hearing adverts praising Octopus Customer Service but I find that is has got continuously worse since I joined in April 23.

It is said that there is a limit to everything. This cannot be true as everything has no limit!

It is a different email from last year where it said:

    ———————————————

You've been on Octopus Tracker for almost 12 months now.

You can renew on to the latest version of Tracker for another 12 months using the links below. If you have both electricity & gas, you'll have to renew each one separately.

If you do nothing, you'll roll onto Flexible Octopus, our always great value variable tariff, on 15th February 2025 at the end of your current fixed term.

    —————————————

    This year the email says:

On 15th February 2026, your fixed tariff ends and you’ll automatically roll onto Flexible Octopus, our standard variable tariff. You can see tariff rates on your online account.

You're still welcome to fix or change your tariff at any time.

    —————————————

They will probably offer the latest Tracker which is Tracker September 2025 v1.

The average daily unit rates on that tracker seem no better than the fixed 12 month tariff they currently have available

Tracker is a 12 month thing these days. You can request to go onto the latest version when it ends, although it doesn't seem particularly competitive these days.

My current year on Tracker December 2024 v1 expires in a few days. I received a similar email. It took a couple of minutes to click through in the Octopus app and arrange to continue on Tracker, as September 2025 v1.

You should have the same option?
