So does the system tell you what you would be paying for both now if you were privileged enough to live in the North East ?
Plug your postcode in at https://octopus.energy/tariffs and you can see for yourself.

Strange, you would think that 'Tracker" would show up from using some combination of domestic, smart and/or variable filters. Not so apparently.

If I choose "Domestic", Tracker is 4th on the list.
    If I then add "Variable", it's 2nd.

I have just jumped back on to Tracker for gas as the prices had seemed lower than my prior tariff for a long time (I was on gas tracker previously but not recently).

I am in NW Merseyside region and according to the Gastracker app today's price is 5.17

However on the Octopus official website and App it says today's price is 4.04p.

This appears to indicate that whoever did this put me on the April 2022 tracker as it's the only price that matches what I am seeing on the app.

I guess I won't complain but I'm sure they will figure it out sooner or later and put me on the correct one.  Did this happen to anyone else?

Which version does the Octopus app say you're on?

Tracker V3 - this matches the Tracker from April 2022 on the GasTracker website.

    That all ties together, then.
    Congratulations on the wrong tariff!

Sadly, they have already noticed the error and changed it.

I saw a post on Reddit from someone else who had the same, so they had an IT issue or an untrained operator issue today.

A bit belated, but do you think people on Tracker will will benefit from the supposed £150 reduction in energy bills? Am all electric, so a high energy user, which should put be above average in savings.

Interesting question. Impossible to predict, but it’s difficult to see how it could be done - short of just trusting Octopus to play fair, and I certainly wouldn’t do that. Fixed tariffs could be dealt with as Martin Lewis suggests - a simple reduction to the gas and electricity tariffs, but with Tracker that’s obviously not possible.
