@Telegraph_Sam I left gas on 8/01 for dec fix 5.74 (eastern) since then saved £45 on gas vs Dec23.
Of course I am not going to move my leccy I’m on flux.

Just did the same compare on Dec24 gastrack would have only saved £20

Most people "ditching" Tracker = moving electric to Tomato?
If you go to Tomato, what are you going to do about export?  It wouldn't really matter that much over December and January, but solar panels should be starting to wake up now.

That is precisely the downside. The export is a useful complement to the panels - in summer - which I doubt would survive a switch to TE

    But keeping gas with Tracker?
That's what I've done. I guess time will tell if its the right move but seems worth a shot for now. I was a bit reluctant to move my gas off tracker because the smart meter has never sent a reading so thought it might cause me issues if I ever wanted to re-join! So sticking with that for now and rolling the dice with Tomato for electric.

Ditched tracker a few months back and moved to octopus fixed. It looks like it might have been a good decision.

I set up a switch to tomato energy at one o'clock this morning and I got confirmation emails at 3am but I thought I'd better call them this morning just to make sure everything was okay even though the email I received specified that the switch would take place this coming Monday.

I got through to someone after a few minutes and gave them my details and they told me that the switch had not gone through and there was an error and tried to change the date of the switch to many different days and each time there was an error.

So I'm glad I called to make sure everything was okay because now the switch is under investigation and I have been told that I will be called back once they have fixed the problem.

This is not a good omen as to my switch to tomato energy🥵

I would always wait until 5 working days has passed, £40 automatic compensation would be due, if not paid automatically within 10 working days of breach occurring a further £40 would be applicable.

My switch to Scottish Power was stuck in registration last year until I contacted them, very pleased it happened ended up with £60 compensation.  B)

I did the same for gas (a week or two earlier). For electric I left Agile for a fix with Fuse Energy - 22.5p per Kwh for 18 months - no regrets so far

Just been looking at Tomato Lifestyle electric prices which seem much cheaper, what's the catch?
You're beta testing their systems for them - billing, metering, customer service. Meanwhile they're selling at a loss and/or not paying their suppliers on time.
It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye ...
Not sure about testing their systems so might just move to the 16 month fix, but not sure whether to stick with the Dec 24 tracker for the gas as quite a low user, but not sure if the savings would be worth it.
