I've so far resisted Agile because I can't cope with it*, but having a year's worth of comparison by then at our normal usage pattern will demonstrate whether it's stayed cheaper and is fine as a fallback if the Tracker options then aren't much good.
I might also pay for a subscription to Octopus Compare to see about the Cosy and any other tariffs over the year when I'm weighing up the options, but I'm not holding out much hope. The tariffs offered by Tomato Energy look good (alas the company doesn't) but Octopus seem to be more about dynamic tariffs rather than set times for TOU.
So, we come back to thinking about it nearer the time!
*It's not Agile, it's my brain and me knowing what I'm like vs my limitations - which have increased dramatically through a series of health nosedives. But if I do get a year's worth of proof it's always been cheaper, I might be able to take the plunge.0 -

Agile can be a bit of a weight on the mind, always looking for the cheapest time and kicking yourself when you miss it so completely understand how it could affect.0 -

That said, Octopus is still at the forefront of customer service even though the gap is narrowing; it would have to be something VERY enticing to get me to switch away (such as the Tomato tariffs - but without a dodgy company history) and there are a couple of suppliers I'm not sure *any*thing would convince me it's worth risking going with them.0 -

My attitude is that I would not be unhappy if the terms that I was enjoying were not the very best all of the time. As long as these were amongst the front runners. Which is more than can be said for my Compare app at present.Telegraph Sam

Careful what I say, it is early days yet. So far things appear to be running OK but the test will come when I reconcile the invoices. At first it was not easy to distinguish between readings from the two meters, practice ... The switch itself took ages.Telegraph Sam
