I called Octopus today as I was still showing gaps in my electricity readings from 20th onwards. They've pulled them again and all looks fine now. The odd thing is that my export is showing data for yesterday, but all of the data from the day before is missing. Will be making a call tomorrow if it's not changed overnight.

4.9p for gas here (and 21.6p for electricity). Fortunately, gas consumption is zero at the moment, so I'm not going to panic just yet.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Yes but its zero x a higher rate.0

It's more a matter of how much higher. And for how long. As well as the time of the year.

Could be entirely wrong, but doesn't recent history show that European stocking up of gas for the winter affects prices around his time?0
-
If we had gas we would have considered the fixes seriously when they were 5p kwh as its likely those on tracker on have these rates til Feb 2025 so the fix made sense?0
-
Oh wow the new tracker is not good is it with higher rates unless thats what they expect the prices to be when the new rise comes inMortgage 165,065/183,000

Just over 3 weeks ago Gas could have been fixed for 12 months certainty with no exit fees at current flexible tariff kWh rate.
Worth mentioning as come October and January posts will be comparing tracker with higher SVR rates.1
