It seems that the 'Our Tariffs' section (where you could see the URs and SCs for all current and historical tariffs), in the menu on Octopus' website, has disappeared in their latest update? Or is it still there, but 'buried' somewhere?

    16.63p/kWh for me tomorrow.

  • Is this website useful/accurate for tracking UK daily Gas prices and more?

  • im paying £100pm by DD, i see i can make 1 off payment using american express card
can i pay my monthly payments using the card instead of DD, as i would get nectar points on my credit card
  • You should keep the DD to get the best rates, but lower it to something like £1 and then pay enough on your Amex card to stay in credit

Weekend rates of 3.83p for the NW if this is correct.

    Morning Briefing

    Day ahead (DA)

    • Weekend gas contracts are trading at 67.6p/th (2.3p/kWh) this morning and delivery for Monday trades at 67.7p/th (2.3p/kWh).
    • Weekend power contracts are trading at £60/MWh (6.0p/kWh), and Monday delivery contracts are trading at £49/MWh (4.9p/kWh).
    • Both gas and power prices on the prompt are down on increased temperatures in the UK and higher forecasted wind generation.
    • Wind generation is running at 14.2GW currently supplying the grid with 36% of its power generation.

Gas is 4.19pkWh here in the south today.
I keep hoping that we'll drop below the psychologically-important 4p/kWh level; per the old Tracker formula. 67.6p/therm should become 3.75p/kWh so maybe I'll have a sub-4p weekend!

If you changed to variable direct debit, providing you kept your account topped up by credit card, the DD would never pull.
  • Unlike the vast majority of contributors to this forum I confess that I can't get myself enthused over "next day's price" which is Inshallah as far as me reacting to it is concerned. I use a combination of my smart energy, gas tracker and energy stats UK to get the current price in a medium term context. It's what  they call being behind the times ..
