"Next Day" is handy if you have power hungry activities that you can do today, or put off until tomorrow. The Gastracker email at around 11:00 helps with the "do the laundry today, or tomorrow " question.1

Like cut the lawn I suppose. Depends what mood my solars are in. I wonder sometimes what net difference it makes in £££'s to the average heavy user at the end of the dayTelegraph Sam

Most modern washing machines seem to have an A or B rating which is "efficient".Telegraph Sam

Using it still uses more electricity than not using it. This is a moneysaving site, saving 1p on a wash cycle is exactly the kind of tip it's designed to shareTelegraph_Sam said:Most modern washing machines seem to have an A or B rating which is "efficient".

When my 2 year fix ended back in October, I didnt expect to see gas under 6p again, never mind back under 4. Yes, there is some risk in tracker but its a huge money saver provided you keep an eye on it.

You have to have a certain amount of credit to lower your DD online, for me I think it's been twice the amount of the current DD.northernstar007 said:

You can also message them and ask to do it, explaining why. E-mail may or may not get you a human response, but Twitter would. Or a phone call.1 -
i love Octopus and the tracker tariff but i think i'm done "shifting" usage. been on the tariff a year now and iv'e had averaged Gas a couple of times due to "missing data", this week for the 1st time i even have an entire missing day of usage in the octopus app, Tuesday doesn't exist.
more importantly looking back its been the same with electric a couple of times, it was last my latest bill that prompted the check back as i'd specifically "shifted" to use very cheap days but the bill was averaged due to 3 missing half hour readings.
more than happy with the averaged rate but there's no point in shifting unless convenient anyway.
