Looks like electric will be around the 30p/kwh mark for me tomorrow.
    For me tomorrow, 28.62p/kWh

When I submit my meter readings tomorrow, for June, I'll be able to see how Tracker cost compares to SVT, and how close my 'daily average unit rates across the month bill calculation' compares to what I'm actually billed by Octopus, using their apportioning via '...official Profile Coefficients for electricity, and Annual Load Profiles for gas'.

    Oooh, the excitement! 😆

I have tracker but dumb meter, do I need to sumbit my readings at the end of each month? Or can I just pick the date I want in the month so I can read both meters at same time?
I prefer whole calendar month bills, so supply the reading on the 1st of the month.
As @tlcgrantham says, you need at least one monthly reading, which automatically generates a bill.

Thanks. Yes, me too but Eon Next won't let me pick a billing date as I am not smart. I do end up taking readings twice a month anyway, end of month and billing date. The good thing about Symbio and Zog was end of month billing.

I was able to switch to Agile, but the start date change to August and then guaranteed 35p cap from then for 12 months.

They are probably the best company for CS and flexibility given the circumstances... My usage is throughout the day spread even and my flexibility to move my usage is nil. However solar with batteries should mean I only draw from the grid outside of peak times which means Agile would be better suited (+ the integration with the hw to charge when negative, free or near enough).

How did you change the start date?

Incidentally when I tried to go to agile on the phone I was told its only for people with solar panels in very strong terms, so I ended up just getting my brand changed and finishing it off via the dashboard.

Octopus has taken on a lot of customer service staff from failed suppliers, and many still struggle to understand smart meters and Octopus’ time- of-use tariffs such as Agile; Go and Go Faster.

I can say with 100% certainly that the Agile import tariff is available to any Octopus customer that has a smart meter and agrees to 30 minute usage data. Sign up for it online.

    https://octopus.energy/agile/

Perfect for electric vehicles, storage heaters, or anyone who can shift their electricity use outside of peak times.

Agile Outgoing tariffs require solar PV, and Octopus Go and Go Faster require the consumer to own an EV.

Email that was sent requiring Agile T+C to be agreed to allowed 28 days for that to be completed which was an opportunity to delay start date ......

Electricity DA up again, so 30.02p/kWh for me tomorrow.
With gas just a whisker below SVT for the weekend (when it's supposed to be typically low!), and likely to go up on Monday, going by Friday's DA price (though that logic didn't seem to follow last Monday?), combined with electricity well above SVT, July not off to a good start.

As I have only been on tracker since mid June, I'll stick with it until the end of the month at least.
if prices continue on the current trend I'm going to have to consider switching back to the standard cap tariff for electricity, or try agile.
but if I do that then I'll lose the 40p cap on tracker, but then agile is capped at 35p for now...
urgh, it's so difficult to know what to do, everything seems a gamble with pros and cons to each, I gambled on switching to tracker but it hasn't worked out so far.

Let's hope those prices come down next week, although I can't see it based on the last 2 weeks!
