It was definitely the tracker, as I requested details of the tariff via email and they sent them instantly while I was on the phone. Whether what they said is correct, I don't know, but it seems that the information they provide is a bit inconsistent.0

The majority of the people in this thread and their previous history on honouring caps on Tracker + Agile suggests the info they gave you was incorrect, maybe not referencing the cap and instead the prices? I don't know, but I posted above confirmation they will honour it for 12 months.0

Yes, I hope that they were incorrect, but it makes me slightly hesitant in changing to the tracker tariff.
I did notice though that on the FAQs on the tracker tariff webpage under "How is the price of the Octopus Tracker calculated?", it says "The unit rate is updated at midnight each day based on the latest wholesale price. Changes to standing charges are infrequent, and we’ll let you know at least 30 days in advance of any changes coming into effect."
This suggests that they might change the standing charges - unless, again, this information is not correct.1 -

I've just put in my end-of-the-month gas meter reading. This is Tracker V3 in Southern region (H at Guy Lipman's site).I'm happy with that, a small saving vs. the SVT.
- First 10 days of June - £7.01 for 78.54kWh incl. SC = 5.46p/kWh
- Second 10 days - £5.95 for 56.25kWh incl. SC = 5.74p/kWh
- Third 10 days - £6.89 for 56.39kWh incl. SC =7.39p/kWh
- Overall - £19.85 for 191.18kWh incl. SC = 6.11p/kWh average for the month.

SJMALBA said:When I submit my meter readings tomorrow, for June, I'll be able to see how Tracker cost compares to SVT, and how close my 'daily average unit rates across the month bill calculation' compares to what I'm actually billed by Octopus, using their apportioning via '...official Profile Coefficients for electricity, and Annual Load Profiles for gas'.Oooh, the excitement! 😆
I have tracker but dumb meter, do I need to sumbit my readings at the end of each month? Or can I just pick the date I want in the month so I can read both meters at same time?

Looks like electric will be around the 30p/kwh mark for me tomorrow.1
