Good to see that Octopus have reduced the low rate on current versions of 'Go' and 'Intelligent', so the variable nature of the tariff is working...They may not be a quick to respond as Tracker, but it does show that Octopus are delivering reduced prices where they can...0

Joining Tracker was the best decision, I've made in a long time. I did feel like a gamble at the time.
Todays rate for me in the south east is
Elec 19.94p/kWh (41.03p/day standing charge) & Gas 4.79p/kWh (26.84p/day standing charge)

Had an email from Octopus today to say my V3 Gas Tracker tariff is due to expire 17th June, if I do nothing I'll roll onto Flexible at the end of my fixed term. If I want to continue with Tracker I have to reply to the email to confirm..
Of course I've replied to say I want to stay on Tracker, I'll update what terms I get once it's actioned.

Great, this will be good to see if v3 terms stay. I expect I will be the first on MSE for agile renewal, as most active people on here are on electric tracker vs agile. If the 6 weeks notice is consistent, I might get contacted for Agile in a couple of weeks, it expires 1 July. In a month for gas tracker which expires mid July.0 -
This is my Agile renewal email.

Thanks, it looks like its a switch to a newer version of Agile from that description which would mean losing the 21p day SC, a shame. For me that would increase my electric bills by circa 18%, quick maths in my head might not be precise. (yes SC is that a big % on my bill). Here is my summary from 22 March to 21 April if anyone wants to calculate a more precise % impact.Breakdown by rate
Rate Consumption Cost
21.59p/kWh 173.3 kWh £37.416
Total consumption 173.3kWh @ 21.59p/kWh † £37.42
Standing Charge 31 days @ 20.00p/day £6.20
Subtotal of charges before VAT £43.62
VAT @ 5.00% £2.18
Total Electricity Charges £45.80Or I suppose another way of putting it going from a bit under 1/6 of the bill to around a third.EPG for me as a customer isnt really impacting bills on the agile 2018 tariff as it just moved the cap down from 35p to 33.02p, but of course we do know now that Octopus have been buying the energy differently and as such the EPG is affecting their costs even if it isnt affecting mine, so understandable they dont want to renew these terms. But I suppose this should also affect the trackers which for customers have been renewed on the same terms with new fixed dates. (which based on your response would mean Octopus loses EPG subsidy for those customers).Did your cap and SC change post renewal?0
