Have you been moved to tracker yet?mrochester said:I’ve had an email to say my wait is up. I have now switched to Octopus and despite the fact I emailed them back once I had switched (last Friday, 21 April) I have not yet been moved onto the tracker tariff. Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to move you over once you are at the top of the list?
Many thanks.
i have just had my email today to join octopus and to then email them once joined to move onto tracker
wondering how long the process might take0 -
To switch to Octopus, took about 48hrs (Oct 2022).To move to their tracker (Jan 2023), took about 14 hrs. I'd emailed them my request at 10pm, and they'd put me on it by noon the next day.0

Its changed since you joined last October and applied for the tracker in January ..Transferring to Octopus is now the easiest part.vic_sf49 said:To switch to Octopus, took about 48hrs (Oct 2022).To move to their tracker (Jan 2023), took about 14 hrs. My friend joined Octopus last Feb and is still on the waiting list now to get on the electric tracker although they put her on gas tracker pretty quick after a chat on the phone .
UKhotdealsUK got onto the super low rates and flooded Octopus and since then its been up to a six month waiting list to get on Tracker plus now you need a working smart meter . When I joined last January I did nt need smart meters to join and they calculate an average when I submit fortnightly reads0 -
The estimated costs are SVR so they are almost double what I pay on tracker. I’m hoping SVR comes down in June so there is less difference. I don’t have smart meters so staying on tracker isn’t an option.westv said:
Are those estimated costs much different to what you are paying now?Griffindog said:I’ve just had my renewal email and haven’t got a smart meter. I don t have smart meters neither ,( although I ve agreed to the fitting of them )but where have they said those without smart meters can t stay on Tracker , and how long would my term be ?Griffindog said:

Can you not have them fitted in time for when you need to renew?Griffindog said:

Your term will be a year, it should tell you on your dashboard under tariff info.SAC2334 said:

Do you have anything that looks like this?

Not for smart meters, but the length of the termon or under tariff info

New fixed term tariff's aren't allowed under the EPG so Octopus has classed all new Tracker and Agile deals as variable.
