That version is Variable with no end date as opposed to 12 month fixed term.Qyburn said:Where do you see an end date, for those that have one? I can't see it stated on the account, the tariff change email or the bill. My tariff is identified as "Octopus Tracker November 2022 v1" and there's also a reference SILVER-FLEX-22-11-25
Octopus can if they wish end it at any time with reasonable notice.0 -
Same standing charges and product cap that you have detailed.savers_united said:
Does the extension Inc the same caps or do the caps related to the latest / current tracker tariff apply.bristolleedsfan said:savers_united said:
When you say they are rolling the tariff over does it state its fixed with an end date or has it simply moved to a rolling month by month, mpellatt said: "my v1 has been rolled over for another year""if you'd like to stick with Octopus Tracker for a further 12 months, you don't need to do anything - we'll automatically extend your tariff until"................ ( year has long standing typo error)
End date will be 12 months later from previous end date, 12 month fixed term extension has always been do nothing option when tracker tariff comes to end of 12 month term.
Octopus are not reinstating a tariff they are automatically extending it for a further12 months.
The caps on v1 for Gas are 6p, the latest tracker 30p, so a big difference, if you do nothing are you saying that the 6p cap still applies for another year, whilst wholesale prices are falling they could be rising it just would seem a strange business strategy to allow the same cap to roll over each year when gas unit prices are unlikely to be below 6p that often.

The standing charges are over £100 cheaper on V1 then current rates? That is a huge saving for low users.

It is superb that Octopus have rewarded people taking the chance on their beta products with these extensions.

That’s a big assumption. I am waiting to see what happens next month! Renewals for Go (and the now defunct Go Faster) were always based on the tariff version in play at the time for most customers. Mistakes were made with renewals.Mstty said:It is superb that Octopus have rewarded people taking the chance on their beta products with these extensions.

That was my thought, last year on some of the EV forums there were octopus customers being rolled onto another year at the same rate with Go / Go Faster. My contract expired a month later and no such luck, it transpired it was some IT glitch that Octopus honoured. I bet when my tracker v3 is up for renewal they will not offer me another year on v3 and instead get offered the latest version or the SVT.[Deleted User] said:

I fail to see how it's an assumption with the evidence of Octopus currently doing this with tracker products expiring now.(pictures in this thread)[Deleted User] said:

It may well change in the future but I stand by the fact it's a very nice thing to do.
However I believe they have retired the GO product so that unfortunately is not like tracker that still exists. You may well find yourself being offered flex. But who knows Octopus tend to surprise.

How can something that has been known to have been done/happened year on year and confirmed as having been done/happened this year be regarded an an assumption let alone a big assumption.[Deleted User] said:
