Glad you aren’t too sore. Still take steady until it’s properly healed, yes?

You’re like me … I get twitchy when my car gets below half a tank. It confuddles Mr KK as he only drives locally and as far as I can see, gets by on fumes! 😉😂

There are two types of people, the ones who panic below 3/4’s of a tank and the ones who don’t even realise until it’s under the E…and they always seem to marry each other 🤣 I tried to retrain MrWW with his, but he has slipped back to his old ways, even though he agreed it worked better. He is always horrified at how much his costs to fill, but it doesn’t feel painful to me as it’s normally only about £30 for a quarter of a tank 😁

I get grumpy if I have to pay more than £40 per fill up…. 😉

  • I'm the same with the 'three quarters means refill',  putting £90 in my new to me car - which said 2 miles range left when I filled it was very painful indeed
  • I'm somewhere in middle. I don't like getting below 1/3-1/4 of a tank before I fill it. Only because when I was younger I filled my car right up costing about £50 which was alot at that time only for the car to be written off the next day 🙃

This reminds me of the time I filled up and then went to the supermarket and the car was stolen from the car park within 10 minutes 😖 Many, many years ago. I would still rather take that risk than find myself needing an emergency long distance journey and not be prepared for it. It doesn’t help that I’m 500 miles away from family and there aren’t many places to fuel up here and none that are 24 hrs.

I can go to about 1/4 full but I only travel short distances and there are lots of petrol stations nearby 👍 If I lived where you live I’d be the same as you WW. That said Dh has been filling my car recently 😁

  • Good morning and happy Thursday ⭐️🎄 I’m feeling Christmassy as I have made a start of ordering presents this week and am happily stressing over what to buy everyone 😁 I really want to get the majority out of the way in November, so spare money in December can go to MrWW’s present and any nice things I want for me haha.
My budget is working well on ynab. I hope it continues throughout the month. It’s harder this time as I have started my sinking funds for Christmas 2025, but don’t have one for this year. Next year should be so much easier. I still have money left in my this weeks spending money and then fully funded categories for weeks 2,3 and 4. Each week begins on a Saturday. I will try and move any unspent each week over to savings in future months, but this month it will go towards the Christmas presents.
Work hasn’t been bad this week, but I do feel sad I don’t have Friday off 😖
I’m determined to stick to my calories today as I got a bit carried away yesterday…as always it feels like if I’m winning at budgeting, I’m losing at weight loss…or the other way around. I need to master the knack of being good at two big things at once.
I hope you’re all having a good day.

  • I just remembered that yesterday I bought all of my Christmas cards from Wh1stlefish..I know it was recommended by several of you! I went through topcashback although that doesn’t seem to be tracking anything for me at the moment! I have 3 orders I need to raise cases for after the required 7 days wait. The cards were 15 for £10 and I bought 3 lots. Every card is different and all the pictures looked lovely so I am looking forward to receiving them, to sending nice cards and to hopefully not run out! Most years I run out and am scrambling for the person I forgot, so this time I’m well prepared and may have some extra’s to roll over 😁
