I was looking at the price of advent calendars in JLtoday😱😱😱don’t think I’ll bother.

i had to ring the oil company as for the second time running they haven’t taken the payment after delivery…even though I paid when I ordered. They just need to process it once it’s delivered. Last time they left it so long it timed out and I had to give the details again (despite me chasing them). So I have chased again and they have said they’ll ring me back if it’s timed out again 🙄 I paid it off my credit card as soon as the marker went on, so it’s been looking like it’s over £300 in credit for weeks…which is bizarre for a credit card. I like the balance to always be zero so it’s messing with my head.

I was looking at the l'occitane advent but what I actually use is the shea hand and foot cream so I bought that on a discount instead. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I am admiring both your restraint and the paying the oil bill on the CC before they’ve even taken it - Major Adulting! 👏😊💪

I’ve seen several comments on social media about the MnS calendar this year saying it’s not as good as it usually is and that it’s more expensive, which is exactly what I thought. Well done on being restrained 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It's defo not too early to talk about Christmas! Early plans mean spreading the cost, which is always good as we have several winter birthdaya too.
We have a pretty cloth Advent calendar which my Mum made for me years ago. She'd love to know we are still using it. It comes out every year & gets filled with something nice in each pocket (usually a L*ndor choc or similar). Then I have all the odd numbers & Mr F the evens. I like the traditional ones with little windows too, but haven't felt tempted by any of the branded expensive ones with a gift each day.......except for one from an indie yarn dyer which I couldn't afford!

Happy Sunday everyone. Yesterday was spent mostly cleaning, with a Tesco delivery and a bit of strictly thrown in.Today has also been a wash out so far as MrWW is sleeping and the minute I am out of eyesight of WWdog she barks and barks and barks 😖 We spent an hour in the garden(her sitting, me marching), I have straightened my hair, read a bit, cruised social media…and now I am having to stand next to her so she will sleep…apparently sitting was too far away 😢 It’s so hard for her being old, but also for me! I want to blow my tyre up, take my car out, go for a walk…I’m hoping I can manage at least some of these things when MrWW wakes up….although it’s a very small window before he goes back to bed and he will expect to be fed in that time too!I have tweaked my ynab lists and added a rogue £2.48 that was hanging around in PayPal. I am still standing firm on the posh advent calendars…and am also holding out for payday before ordering pet food and a new baby present. Normally I would cave and then pay it off on payday…but I am determined to get my head into a place where I spend what I have, instead of what’s coming in 4 or 5 days. I have high hopes for ynab this time and really hope it doesn’t let me down and that I don’t let myself down. I don’t like this scrabbling around for pennies feeling and I don’t like that I have less in savings now than I had 6 months ago. I hope this discomfort will teach me a lesson!I’m kind of hoping Wynne leaves Strictly this week. Anyone got any predictions?
i hope you are having a nice Sunday ☀️ and I just had to towel down dog and the carpet as she rolled over into her water bowl 😂, poor old sausage! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Much as we love our furry friends, they can be hard work at times!
Hope you get some freedom later.
I think Punam might go this week, it's been quite surprising who's in the bottom two sometimes though so it could be anyone!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2 -
I’m trying to hold out to the end of the month to get my target NSDs … T’is hard … We stand together! 😉😊💪
