  • Happy Halloween 🎃
We only had one small coven of visitors so we have lots of sweets left, even after given the three visitors a lot each. They hit the jackpot 🎃
I did the money shuffle and matched up all the categories in ynab. I had a little trouble as it’s for my November budget, but we’re still in October. I managed to sort it by scheduling the payments I made today to action on ynab tomorrow. It should look right tomorrow, but doesn’t today. I’m sure there’s a way to do it better, so I need to check the tutorials.
I’m very glad that today was my Friday, I’m looking forward to a nice long weekend.
I hope you have all had a good day ⭐️

We didn’t have any visitor’s last night for trick or treat, mind you there’s no young families in our road. Didn’t open any of the packages of sweets just in case this happened, so will put them away for my GK’s Xmas hamper.x

i started off very productive by doing the recycling bin and then began to change around the dining room, as mrWW is getting a new tv, so will shuffle the room one into the dining room…and it won’t fit in the space the current one is sitting. It started off so well, but moving the cabinet (after emptying completely) seem to be beyond me. I don’t normally give in, but it was like pushing a mountain and I heard my rib clang so stopped immediately 🙄 I don’t know if I’ve cracked it or just strained something, but thought I’d better not try again…which leaves the house in a real mess as I’d moved all the chairs and scratching posts into the hall. I got it so far, so I can’t really move anything back until MrWW is here to help shuffle the cabinet. So annoying! I can feel a slight twinge, but don’t think I did anything serious 😅
Everything in that room is very mildewy as it’s been a while since I did a full spring clean. The atmosphere in this house is terrible and I don’t know if it’s the highlands/countryside atmosphere or a bad house build. I’ve never experienced anything like it before I moved here. I will need to scrub underneath the dining table, etc. All the places you don’t see when doing a quick tidy.
I am still happy with ynab. It’s been fun to update the spending and see what I have left in all the categories. Today I had the fun of adding in £75 I won on pb’s this month 😁
I opened a saving ISA yesterday as my stocks and shares ISA has tanked with all the budget hoohah. I know it’s a long haul type thing, but it’s dispiriting when one day you have almost £50 up and the next it’s down to £11. I will leave what I have in there, but I think from next month I will move any ISA saving to the bog standard ISA. I’m very new to ISA’s in general, so it’s a bit of a learning curve. I doubt very much I’d be at a tax threshold on any interest payments anyway haha…maybe one day.
I hope you are all having a good day…watch your ribs 🤭

  • Congrats on the PB win!
Rest that rib, things being tidy and clean aren't as important as you not doing yourself a further damage

How is the rib …? Did you do yourself a proper damage?

Hope the rib is ok and you’re resting.
It will feel brilliant after a shuffle of furniture. When we first got married we lived in a little terrace where the front door opened into the front room. I used to have a complete change around every winter and summer….changed from the living room to the dining room. I loved it as I do like a change. I can’t put my furniture in any different positions in this house as it’s a long narrow room…..it means you chant change the chairs around for better wear as we’re definitely creatures of habits and have our favourite spaces 😂😂
Glad the accounting ap is working for you 👍

  • Happy Sunday everyone.
I don’t think I’ve done any massive damage. Every so often I have an involuntary gasp if I move a way it doesn’t like, but it’s not stopping me doing what I had planned. MrWW helped me move the heavy cabinet yesterday…well he did all the heavy lifting/pushing and I just did the steering and making sure it didn’t tip over 😅, so today I did the vacuuming, polishing, refilling the cabinet, moving the table and chairs to their new position etc. So I’m happy, if a little gaspy when I move the wrong way. I ended up vacuuming with the other arm, which was a bit weird 😁
@milann I love a furniture shuffle too. I used to change my bedroom around all the time as a kid. Our living room is like yours, nothing can really move because of the tv placement and MrWW is precious about that because of glare, sound system/speaker placement, blah de blah. I honestly can’t tell when he decides the sound isn’t surroundy enough, but we all have our ‘important things’, so I just let him do his thing 😁
i had a drive into town and filled up my car, as it was dangerously low at just on 3/4’s of a tank 😬. I will be making a shepherds pie and Yorkshire puddings later.
I hope you all have a lovely day ⭐️

Glad you aren’t too sore. Still take steady until it’s properly healed, yes?

You’re like me … I get twitchy when my car gets below half a tank. It confuddles Mr KK as he only drives locally and as far as I can see, gets by on fumes! 😉😂
