Happy Friday …at last 😁
The money took a bit of a battering this morning as I ordered a few more bits for presents…how it added up to over £150 is baffling. I still have quite a bit more to go, which is disheartening, but the short term pain in November will be worth it for a no stress December I think.
The Whistlefish tracked on top cash back the next day, so that was good. I only have 2 missing ones to chase now. I know it’s only a few pounds, but it’s so annoying when they promise and don’t deliver!I am hoping for a nice work day today. There are only 2 meetings in, so I should be able to get on with things and I cleared a big job this morning already.
i hope you all have a fabulous Friday ✨Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Friday WW. Check your email receipts if you think that's too much. Cashback sites usually take ages to pay, it'll be a nice surprise when it appears.
Don't be disheartened, work out what you can get cheaper or substitute for something else or just not get! Every saving of a pound is another pound in the car pot 💪3 -

Good morning and happy Monday ⭐️
The weekend went by so fast. Saturday was food shopping and a lunch out. The lunch was very nice. Then yesterday I was unsupervised 😅 I had a drive out t the local c0 op to look at their Christmas food. They didn’t have loads, but I did bag some gingerbread digestives, some walkers sausage sarnie crisps and a mini m&m’s Christmas bar to try. Then I did a bit of washing, started a Santa Claus jigsaw, made tea and that was it, the day was gone!I just have 3 presents to finish now, which will be about £150 as I only buy for the important people these days. Everything else is paid for and either here waiting to wrap, on its way, or booked for a December delivery. I will still have MrWW to think about in December. I started my Christmas 2025 pot this month and haven’t dipped into it, so I have a good start for next year. I’m aiming for £1000 put away to cover everything.I’m going to try and get some steps in at lunch time today, as I was pretty pathetic this weekend. My best day was 8k.I hope you all have a good day 🎄🎅🏻 (too early?)Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Getting the presents in November makes perfect sense. My problem is my gdds have birthdays at the end of November and mid December and I have to wait to see what they’ve had for birthdays before I can buy Christmas presents. I do try to get everyone else sorted through. I have cut back a lot over the last couple of years though.January spends - £587.582

Thanks @jwil
oh @milann that’s such bad timing with the birthdays. It always preys on my mind until everything is done. Imagine failing at Christmas 🤭Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@WinterWarrior I have just caught up on this year's diary; the bookmark fell off! Congratulations on everything you're doing. Re weight loss: I've been on an ultra low carb diet since I was diagnosed with diabetes; the weight has dropped off. It might be worth trying. I've resubscribed and am looking forward to following your adventures. Love Humdinger xx3

We’ve a run of birthdays in my family between Xmas day and feb 7th I have - brother, 2 x sister in law, sister, mine and my dads. It’s a killer on top of Xmas, and all ‘important’ people so only get on an even keel in March.Sealed pot challenge 822
