HM coleslaw goes wet and slimes on the second day, so fresh naked salad in a clip lock tub no more than 3 days.

Fairly simple for me, nothing to do with vanity, extra weight equals extra joint problems. I don't like throbbing so I need to move more and eat less.  The problems started after the SW stint.

Me too @redofromstart. I had aching hips at my fattest (a stone more than now) and still have stiff ankles when I get up in a morning. I’m hoping less weight and better fitness will help improve that. I really want some crisps now 😖🤭

  • Have a piece of fruit then if you still want crisps then at least you've had a portion of f&v as well, and it may satisfy the snack craving for the time being.
Me and Mr PIP have been very good lately at cutting a garlic baguette in half and only cooking that, it's always enough with a meal and there is zero chance of the whole thing not getting eaten if we cook it all!

I cut up an apple into slices and put it in a bowl with a few grapes. It makes it seem more satisfying somehow. Crisp wise I only buy the low calorie ones like Lid! fake French Fries and if I feel the urge I put them in a bowl too - it feels more of a treat and they seem to last longer. Psychological I know but it works for me.

I’m wanting to loose weight for the health benefits. Ankle joints and hip for me. I saw the Michael Moseley talking about the prepared salad. If I fancy crisps - I put a few on my plate and seal the rest of the bag with a clip I find if I get the flavour and crunch of a couple of crisps I don’t need the full bag. I could happily eat it but am training myself to smaller portions and still getting the taste. I shared cake and pudding both yesterday and today whilst out 😇 I didn’t feel deprived and it’s better for both Dh and myself.

I prefer an apple cut up into thin slices too SA. MrWW had some Doritos and I had 3 of them, they were just enough. I do make crisps last by licking all the flavour off and nibbling them 😬

Good morning and happy Monday ☀️⭐️ it’s very windy out there today!
I have done all of the morning jobs, fed the furries and am now safely at my desk for the duration…sigh!
I am already not really looking forward to salad 🤣
I got distracted with my emails and left this lingering for a while. It’s going to be a busy day. I don’t have anything exciting to report, but hope you all have a very happy Monday 🌷

Do you enjoy soup?  I often do a batch of soup on Sunday, pop some in containers in the fridge and some in the freezer.  Minimum of two veg per portion plus I tend to have carrot sticks and a tomato sliced at the same time.  Makes lunch a lot easier.

I do peb, but I don’t always find it substantial on its own. I do have a soup maker that I can leave unattended and mean to dust it off 😁
I really enjoyed my salad, I just added half an avocado, a couple of spring onions and a dollop of low cal mayo. It was very nice, which is a lesson to me! Sadly I was feeling like something was missing and added a tunnocks caramel wafer to round it off 😬 All counted on nutracheck though and I still have a decent amount of calories left for the rest of the day. Maybe I should have soup?

I find soup more satisfying if it’s thickened with lentils or potatoes. If i make minestrone I put plenty of pasta in it. No point having soup if it doesn’t fill the tummy 👍
