Glad you enjoyed your salad.  I don't see anything wrong with adding the caramel wafer at the end.  I like to have something sweet after my lunch. It sounds like it was within your calories, and hasn't left you short for the rest of the day.

  • Changes need to be sustainable or it won't stick. If you want a sweet after your lunch, go for it. I get the lunchbox sized chocolate bars to take to work with me. Making a packed lunch every day would be too sad without.

I’m quite into Kinder cards at the moment…I highly recommend those as a lowish calorie treat 😋

Good morning and happy Tuesday 🌧️
I did some spending yesterday and bought 2 replacement bodum cups, as ours are many years old I feel they don’t keep the heat like they once did, some fat balls and an order of pet food. Overall it came to about £120. All money I have, but I was feeling a bit 😮 at the spending…I mentioned to MrWW and he said he bought something too. Any guesses how much my treasure spent on his hobby? He says it’s fine as he plans to pay it off with birthday money (from me) and overtime (no doubt working weekends so I’ll be on my own)…hurrah 😖 I try to monitor him keeping his credit card empty, whilst still wanting only separate finances (or I’m sure I’d end up financing half the things). He cleared it off some time ago with a bit of a windfall, but ‘large hobby things’ keep creeping back. I absolutely should take a step back, it’s not my business and he is very good with the household expenses…yet this card niggles me! It really does! I’m thinking I should take his birthday money (I previously promised £500) out of my savings to give him early, but that would only pay a quarter of the card. I was planning it out of my wages next month.
    Sigh!
Anyhow, enough muttering from me….and I’m so glad this chat is ‘secret’ as it’s so outing if he saw it 🤣
I hope you all have a fabulous day. I’m actually looking forward to my salad today ☀️

Don't give him his birthday money early or it will feel like you haven't got him a present when it gets to the actual day. It's not your fault that he couldn't wait.

Good morning and happy Wednesday ⭐️☀️
I started duo lingo at the weekend for something free to do. I chose French as I have a vague middle school knowledge as a base. This morning, half asleep, before the alarm, I realised I was reciting basic French in my head….is this going to take over my life now? 🤣
The salad was still fresh and crispy on day 2, so today will be the third day and last prepped container. I’ll see how that holds up today. Then I plan to make soup for tomorrow and Friday. I got some marked down leeks (which I’ve never cooked with before), so was looking up soupy things. Potato and leek soup seems doable.
I hope you all have a nice Wednesday filled with good things 🌷

What glass containers did you get?  Do you rate them?

Well done on the French

  • Leek and potato soup is really easy and quite filling. Enjoy.
