Could you split 50/50 between savings and spending with a view to trying to save some of the spending pot? What’s more important to you, losing weight, getting more exercise or saving? Perhaps concentrate on one thing at a time to start with then once you’ve got one bit off to a tee start chipping away at another.
I think what’s most important is trying to be happy and I’m struggling with that. I would be happier with all those things 😁 I will still have savings this month (should be around £500 in total), so I guess I just need to be realist at the beginning of the month instead of thinking I can live on fresh air. I do always seem to drop one ball when I’m concentrating on another!

£500 savings in a month is great.  You are too hard on yourself.

£500 is a brilliant amount, you’re definitely being too hard on yourself. I have the Meatloaf song two out of three ain’t bad in my head now thanks to @beanielou 🤣 I love that song actually especially the extended version.

I had that on in my car today 🤭 I have a lot of albums with the tracks set to mix, so it’s always a very varied (bad) singing experience 😅

  • Now I'm going to need to stick that on myself on the way to work.

Sometimes we all need a little reality check, to prevent our expectations from just creeping up and up. I have to remind myself sometimes when I only save a tiny bit of cash in a month, that I still paid my mortgage, my pension, my student loan, my home improvements loan, the DD to my LISA and my sofa repayment, and actually that is all "savings" so I should really stop beating myself up.

Good morning and happy Monday ☀️
it feels chilly this morning, but that could be the creeping misery of work 😅 It also feels a bit frosty as MrWW and I had words about how to prepare the spice mix for his tea 🤣 I am sticking to my guns that who makes it decides how they do it (it seriously makes no earthly difference to the taste). He insists his way (which he will not lift a finger to do) is the right way. I (apparently) always do this and refuse to be wrong. I also ‘never’ agree with him. He was missing the point about free thinking and opinions different to his own, sigh.
I’m not sure how I will manage to squeeze any steps in today, but I will try.
This is true keeponknitting, mortgages and pensions are savings too.
In better news my nails are still looking unchipped and as good as the day they were born.only 2 days, but promising. Is this the miracle I have been searching for? 😁
I hope you all have a marvellous Monday full of good things 🌷

I love the 'creeping misery of work' :D  I feel that!

Is Mr WW now wearing the spice mix? :D  He clearly has yet to learn that we are always right!

Glad you stuck to your guns re the spice. Your turn in the kitchen so your rules. When it’s his turn in the kitchen his rules 👍👍
Are you saving for something special or just for the ‘pot’. Maybe you need a specific treat to save for. Keep singing that Meatloaf song and don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re doing better than me on the food front. I have gone off piste big time…
