I take these aren’t the sist@co (?) nails? A week is very good for nails you’ve done yourself. My BIAB gel colour lasted 4 weeks but I had it done at a salon. I must admit I get bored of the same colour after a while.

When I’ve occasionally chipped a gel nail between appointments I’ve painted normal colour on the top of that nail only and it’s lasted till I get to the salon so you could just paint normal varnish on top of you want a change of colour

@Sun_Addict, no, I just couldn’t get sist@co to stick for more than a few hours without chipping. I’m not very dainty though 😬 This is s@ssysaints and they are so strong and are still as good as the day I did them. It’s the first at home nail treatment I’ve done that looks just as good as a salon…not that I’ve been to a salon for 15 years 🤭
Thats interesting dawny. If they are still solid next week I could maybe file the top layer down and try dipping a new colour. Something to think about.

I had a look at the nail kits, very tempting! But even with 40% off and a couple of coupons, I can't get myself to pay that much, even though Iam trying to justify the cost 😆. I'll leave the basket for now and see how I feel later 🤭

I dithered for some time, especially as the last bright idea didn’t work for me. Overall it would save money if you normally pay to have them done, but I didn’t do that 🤭 There is a Facebook page. Some people have some dire first attempts, but mine went on perfectly by following the instructions very, very carefully. It might be worth joining that and having a look at all the hints, tips, recommendations and muck ups to get a good idea and see how you feel?

Thanks, that's a great idea, I'll do that. I wouldn't save money as I haven't done my nails in ages, but I would like to have nice nails for weeks without much effort.

The roads are dire. Potholes everywhere. So maddening that they’ve been allowed to get into this state. Very dangerous….😡
The nail gel sound a good buy. I’m no good at doing my right hand so the rare occasion I do them I just used an old fashioned nail polish that is a 1 hit wonder or like when I went to the wedding in March had them done at a salon. They lasted a couple of weeks but I hate them when they start growing out and you get the gap near your nail bed. Then I hate taking them off. Don’t think I’ll bother with anything for a while now it’s gardening season.
