Another thought WW, in addition to the good suggestion from @Sun_Addict, are there certain days (or times of the month) you feel you particularly want treats or have less energy to be 'on track'? Losing and maintaining weight is a whole life habit but our needs and capabilities aren't the same all day every day forever.
Would it be helpful to identify if it's Fridays/being premenstrual etc/tougher work schedule week that are more difficult and designate allowing yourself those times so you feel more empowered making healthier decisions the rest of the time knowing it's not all the time?
Just thinking out loud, I am really not in a position to be giving health advice!1 -

If snacks are your downfall you could allocate more calories to this category as a start with an aim to cut down in due course. I tend to have home made soup for lunch in the week as it fills me up, I’m not a fan of bread so don’t feel I need to have it with my soup. Happy Saturday ☀️⭐️
We went all money saving and just went food shopping instead of lunch out, but spent twice as much 😅
I recreated MrWW’s meal out of choice with Cajun chicken burgers and I took my crimpit for a spin. I chose a sensible seeded wrap, cooked a chicken thigh and had a chicken, sliced pepper and red onion wrap with sweet chilli sauce. It was delicious. I had a few chips too, but not many.I have lots of veg and salad in now…no excuses!
Pip, luckily for me I’m a year out the other side of all that nonsense…hurrah! I’ve always been very consistent in wanting the bad things every day 😅 Tough day, easy day, boring day….equals chocolate day 😖

I agree about the bread and butter, and that every day is chocolate day. It's very hard.
I also do that, buy some treats from the SM instead of eating out, and spend a fortune!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1 -
Well at least you're consistent 😁
Congratulations on reaching The Other Side of hormonal nonsense
Do you actually need to lose weight or do you just feel you 'should'? And are you basing it on a past self that's no longer relevant to your stage in life?
I could be a lot slimmer but I don't have to be, and I prefer alcohol and comfort food to being noticeably lighter and am fine with this decision 😂3 -
Pip, I see what you are saying and yes I do want my old figure back. It’s also health though as I worry about weight related illnesses in my old age. Another 10 years and I’ll be pondering retirement and I don’t want to struggle through it. My muffin top has settled in for the long haul and I am determined to see it off 😬 I do need to be fitter. My school friend has diabetes and I really don’t want to follow her…although I still want some comfort food 🤭Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good health reasons there, just thought I should ask the question as so many otherwise intelligent women feel it's part of being a normal woman to always try to lose weight, and it's good to reassess these things every now and again.
I'll never forget being in a loo cubicle in a bar a few years ago and overhearing two pleasant and jovial sounding women in their early 20s talking about how they needed to get back to weight watchers and how bad they'd been diet-wise and how oh my god would you look at how fat they'd got, and I came out of the cubicle expecting to see fairly robust women, and they were two tiny young things, beautifully dressed, beautifully made up, beautiful hair, and they were no more than a size 8, size 10 max, and my significantly older size 12 in reality size 14 self wanted to cry.
And the thing is, and I am not a body confident let alone body beautiful person, but I wanted to cry for them, not me. They'd put so much effort in to how they looked but not for the joy of it and it was just normal in their lives to cheerily hate themselves and it genuinely still makes me want to weep that they and all of us do this to ourselves
Sorry, anecdote rant over!5 -
I'm with PIP on the "down with self-hatred" placard waving. Happiness is far more important.
On the takeaway/not cooking note, this is why I always feel virtuous when I batch cook. I get to have yummy food with minimal cooking and cleaning that past me was kind enough to make for present me. I'm less keen when I'm stood chopping many many onions, screwing my eyes up to wait for the tears to pass.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)
