NST April 2021: Diamonds and Daisies

Heavy snow showers today, interspersed with beautiful sunshine. Met a friend for a walk, then took mum shopping. Managed to get everything on my list. Saw my first baby lambs of the year, it made my day! Hubby has managed to keep some soup down today, so hoping he is finally on the mend. A month is too long to be ill for!
Finished the first glove of a pair I'm knitting for my youngest & finished watching a brilliant BBC series set in Wales, which airs on a Saturday night, but I've binge watched it! Will get withdrawal symptoms now...Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Mothernerd - not sure if you have online banking and access for your mum's account, but it might be worth checking for the cash as a re-credit - if it's not taken from the cashpoint within a certain time it swallows it back in and it gets recredited back to the account after a few days. Just in case it wasn't taken by someone - fingers crossed 🤞🤞xI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209

Still on NSD 5/16.
Grocery shop due this morning for the week ahead. Total £40.07 from Saneberries. Plus I need to add £17.77 from my spends the other day to get items cheaper than those in my virtual Saneberries basket. So this week’s grocery shop is £57.84 of my £80 budget. But my delivery pass is due to renew at £20 to cover the next 3 months. Adding those together my grocery shop including delivery pass is £77.84. It’s going to be a tight week. I’ve only got £2.16 left for a top up shop!
Last week’s grocery shop including top-up was £55.92 out of £80 budget. So I’ll be sweeping £24.08 into savings tomorrow morning on my Sunday Sweep. As it stands there’s £20 left in the leisure budget for this week but I’ve got the rest of the weekend to get through first. Potentially a good chunk going towards my £100 savings target tomorrow.
Grateful today for morning sun, birdsong, tea in bed, and this thread.

Morning Turtles.
NSD number 6/16. I am about to do a bit of an inventory in the fridge and freezer and go out to get a few bits. I am dreaming of smackingly fresh mackerel! So going to the fishmonger. Will be going up to London today or tomorrow for a walk with DGF, going to get my train ticket to see DD next Saturday, whoop, whoop, whoop! Have work to catch up on, housework to do and look at some uni work. Busy!

Another lovely day. Up early and out for a walk. So quiet.
A lady on another forum pointed me in the direction of a really good site that sells gin, Got three bottles for £45 (almost half price). Really good news is that Himself is buying it for me as a present hence my NSD.
So, I've had a bit of a quiet day and have thoroughly enjoyed doing nothing. I'll have to make for it tomorrow.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Evening all, had a very lazy morning just mooching about and reading. Did a workout and a couple of little jobs at home before watching some TV. OH and I went for a bike ride too later in the afternoon. It's turned really cold and windy here so grateful for being tucked up under my blanket! NSD number 7 in the bag, onwards and upwards.4

NSD number 9. Can walk without the stick, still aware of it (slight limp) but can put weight on it without it hurting. Lots of bits decluttered, a little more outside work (sitting down) and all the food I cooked yesterday portioned up and put in the fridge or freezer.
Grateful for being able to walk without pain, regaining my cheerful mood, finding a new serial to watch. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
Today I am grateful for finding some toe-enclosed sandals for dd and me in liddle, for starting kitchen-alteration plans, for hm choc chip cookies, for crafting with friends online, for not needing to go outside much.

Saturday- still on NSD 5.
Have bought compost and some veg seeds to hopefully get planted before too long. As the car was covered in a thick solid layer of frost this morning, there is no rush to get anything planted outside just yet.
Grateful today for- seeing my sister for a dog walk and managing to buy only what I went into the shop for.6
