@f0xh0les - I see you, staying sassy! @ldee2111 - great but of income enhancement there! Proper diamond work Turtles.
So I have now got to 4/16 NSD's, phew.
Yesterday was a bit more chilled at work. Thank goodness! I have such a huge tendency to take too much on and really trying to step back and really see what I have in front of me. Re-jigged my work pattern starting from May and hoping that will take some of the sting out of my responsibilities.
Yesterdays delights and gratitudes.

I confess, now on day three of the Easter hols proper and I still haven't done the washing, and I can't see it getting done today either. Tuesday I did nothing but I did do it very thoroughly and well. Actually I did make dinner and MrP's lunch for yesterday. I was quite proud of my dinner efforts I made a pretty good lasagne out of three leftover sausages from the freezer, a handful of red lentils, carrots, peppers, onions and the usual tinned toms. MrP is a well trained sort and eats whatever he gets but he really enjoyed this, its just a pity that I'll probably not be able to recreate it.
I spent yesterday morning at school sorting out food parcels and getting them out to families. We had a really interesting delivery from F*resh*re yesterday. I always think of it in terms of how many meals there are, and yesterday there were at least three in every box plus quite a few extras such as scotch eggs and pies. I think our families must be getting very bored with celeriac though, we've had huge (head sized) ones every week for over two months. I've been chatting to the chap who runs the warehouse at the local food bank and he doesn't want it but says the zoo does and if I drop it off he'll add it to their zoo collection and give me something else in exchange. I guess that we won't get it again now.
I then went and had lunch with my friend at their allotment and dropped some of the spare bits from the delivery with her to pass on to someone else and got some purple sprouting broccoli in exchange, stayed till well after five chatting and then had to do weekly MIL dinner duty so nothing done then.
When I'm finished here I'm off to see another friend for lunch in her garden, I've said I'll pick up a few treaty bits for us as they're having a bit of a tough time financially at the moment. So it won't be a no spend day today, yesterday wasn't either as I bought a bottle of wine for the admin chap at school who helps us with the deliveries. I'm on 4 /16 so far.
I'm grateful that I have the resources to treat friends.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Didn't check in last night as I was exhausted & could hardly keep my eyes open!
Went for a walk round the block, as trying to be super quiet, limited room access & rallying round while hubby is poorly, the walls were starting to close in a bit. Saw some beautiful marsh marigolds growing in a ditch, lots of gorse flowers & icicles at the side of a running stream made me smile.
Decanted all the recycling into correct bins & put black bin out for today's collection. Good job I did, as being awake half the night, I'd slept through the time it was collected!
Helped middle son fill an a job application form, the first one I've ever done with one of my children. Keeping fingers & toes crossed for him.
Finished knitting the neck of my son's jumper & was determined to sew it all up before I went to sleep. He loves it! I'm gobsmacked that it took less than 300g to knit a jumper for a 19 year old!! The pattern said 500g, but I didn't use the same brand of wool.
Wasn't a nsd, as an item I'd bid on on eboy ended, so needed to pay for that. Still on nsd4.
Sore back today, the settee isn't supportive for sleeping on for any length of time...Use it up, wear it out

Today should be NSD 2.
Went to sleep with a banging headache last night, woke up and it was still there which put me in a bad mood. Tried to exercise it out and painkillers and that didn’t work either. Finally a mix of paracetamol and ibuprofen seems to have worked.
Had an unexpected late cancellation yesterday so me and bf went for a naughty meal out at a local cheap establishment. bit naughty but only €8 for the 2 of us.
Grateful for painkillers, class cancellations that I still get paid for, and coffee even though I probably shouldn’t be drinking it.

NSD No 5
Where did all the lovely sunshine go? Wet and windy today but everything has a silver lining. Tidied the freezers, pantry and kitchen cupboards (again!). We're very well stocked but it's all looking a bit more manageable and lots of nice food in there so a really nice food plan for the near future.
Seedlings coming through and I've re-potted some house plants which were looking a bit sorry for themselves. Looking a lot heathier now. I might look into buying some houseplants next month. Any suggestions for plants that are easy to grow. My flat is quite small. Also planted some parsley, basil and nasturtium seeds which I found in a drawer. Don't know whether they'll take or not but nothing lost if they don't.
So fishcakes and vegetables for dinner. I do love fish of any kind. And then off to bed with my book. Powering through it.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
NSD 4/16 today.
Oven's gone on the blink!I'll ask my tradesfolk neighbours if they have any oven engineer friends. Hoping that it can be fixed and that's it's not too expensive.
Work was busy again today and will probably be like that for the next few months as we're working on a big project.
No walk today. The weather has been atrocious. Where is Mr Sun?
No interest in my listings on Gtree or fleaby. I'll re-jigg them a bit and see if that helps them sell.
I emailed HR today about my request for a salary grade review. It has to go through a panel which is currently short on members. New members are being recruited now, so hopefully that means my submission will be looked at soon.
Grateful today for a morning tea in bed, DS having another dry night, and a tasty effortless dinner thanks to batch-cooked chilli from the freezer.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -
Evening Turtles 🐢
NSD here, went for a walk first thing then gave my car a good wash and polish. Was going to take it to the car wash as it tends to cause my back to flare up when I do it myself but the car wash is broken so had no choice. Gave it a good hoover inside too.
Not much else to report today, tried to get some jobs done around the house, read my book, watched a bit of TV. All in all a chilled day, still enjoying my time off.
Grateful for a clean car, a good book and booking more swimming for next week.6 -
Nsd#5
Another stormy day. Did a few exercises, but not the usual ones online as I hadn't slept well & my back was sore.
Cleaned the bathroom, then I've Sat hand stitching round a blanket this afternoon whilst watching TV.
Made a large pot of bolognaise for tea, enough for tomorrow night too & some to portion up for the freezer.Use it up, wear it out

Today I am grateful for dd having a better day, for getting some school prep done as well as watching lots of telly(!), for the info that is so readily available online, for plenty of veg, for my routine, for my hands being strong enough to chop up loads of veg, for enjoying looking out on the garden where I weeded it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
