A beautiful day here if a tad cold so I've washed throws, cushions covers, etc and they have all dried outside on the washing line. I'll get everything ironed up tomorrow and put back on where they should be.
Still eating lots of veg but I don't feel as if the weight is not going down at all. Early days I suppose. Lunchtime I had a salad of smoked mackerel and left over rice mixed with raisins and pineapple. It was surprisingly nice. Pork chops in the slow cooker with fresh tomatoes, peppers onions and chilli and various paprika type spices. It tastes lovely.
Ploughing on with my books.
I'm really enjoying getting up early and I think it is having a really advantageous effect on my sleeping patterns. Himself has being doing the same. Reading lots and up early. Unfortunately walking isn't really happening for one reason and another.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Well today was full of surprises! Was making lunch to fit in with various holiday school lessons, so sat down on the sofa with a cup of tea at 1.30, saw I had a text to say I could book in for the vaxx, and to ring my gp surgery! (I am 46 no underlying conditions). So sat for a full hour on the phone waiting to get to the front of the queue, and they said they were booking in for next week, or err, hang on, no you couldn't get here by 3pm could you?I said I probably could and they said Come on Down! but a lot less like Leslie Crowther - so I assume the meds came out of the fridge at 9am and had to be used by 3pm. Anyway, was jabbed and home by 3pm, in/out job done. No vaccine wasted. So if nothing else is achieved today - apart from some majorly good pasties made at lunchtime - a stew made for tomorrow lunch (I am at work so being kind to DH) - and a biryani for tonight, then at least something got done.I will let you know if I suddenly develop scales, or horns.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 3/16.
Today was a top-up shop costing £6.35 which takes my weekly total to £55.92 of my £80 budget. Potentially a decent account sweep on Sunday if I don't spend any more.
As soon as my weekly grocery shop is delivered on a Saturday, I put in my order for the next one. Before getting up this morning, I thought I'd do a quick price comparison on stuff I had on my list - glad I did! Here's a comparison on some items I ended up buying elsewhere this morning. OK, the savings aren't life-changing but every little helps, right? I'll just need to remember to deduct £17.77 from next week's grocery budget.
Was going to buy
Branded box of tissues x 2 £3.50
Branded sunscreen £5
Own brand baking parchment £2.75
Own brand dishwasher tabs x60 £5
Bought today
Same brand box of tissues x3 £3.29
Same brand sunscreen £4.49
Own brand baking parchment £1
Branded dishwasher tabs x 110 £8.99
Grateful for DS doing his first nappy-free night without any accidents (and saving on nappies from this day forward - hooray!), good TV (currently watching series The One, and Trying), and for having nice colleagues.

Evening turtles, no NSD here, managed to order my replacement bath panel for only £16. Also found a new bike helmet and lock on sale so ordered those.
Met up with a friend for a walk which was really nice, and got some jobs done at home. Have done a bit of reading today as well, just basically enjoying my week off as much as possible.9 -
Today I am grateful for starting the day with yoga, for catching up with some friends for dd going to a picnic with the youth group, for a relaxed day, for being able to make a Dr appt for next week.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Lots of little jobs done (including the kitchen clock that aggravates me every time I look at it - needed a battery and setting to the right time) and one major frog. Phoned mum's building society and got the mobile phone number changed so that if they need to send a one time passcode, they can. Much passing the phone back and forth between mum and me and jumping through security hoops. Woman was lovely - she even phoned us back to check that it was us after mum muffed several questions about direct debits. After that I managed to pay the plumber online (mum needed a new boiler at her rental property and he did the annual safety check at the same time).
Was feeling great until mum announced that she thought that they had not sent any steroids in her last pill package (only the ones that mean she can swallow, eat food). She has 2 mg for tomorrow, she needs 5 mg (but what can you do at 5 pm on a Wednesday - half day closing at our surgery). Her obsession with 'tidiness' meant she put the bag of pills away in a cupboard before I could check them and of course she didn't check them. So fun times tomorrow.
I did one load of washing, a little digging, threw a few buckets of stones back into the hole (using spare boards to check it's below the level of the paving - will need a bit of work to level it properly but this is accurate enough for this stage but does mean I still have more digging at the end), more seed trays prepared and the tray of tomato triffids given a good watering (will have to start cutting up 2 l bottles to house them all for now).
Grateful for easy food (lots of leftovers/ scraps put together in a salad), plans for reducing the number of jigsaws (originally bought for mum to do with my help), ticking off lots of small jobs, being able to see patches of clear space. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

Evening turtles
Been quite spendy over the past couple of days, bought some food and ordered myself a summer skirt for work (thinking might have to be back in the office for some of the week). Decided to walk to SM yesterday as i hadn't been out all day - took 1.5 hours to get there and back and half way there i had horizontal hailstorms in my face! Was glad to be home! Did exercise class via Fb today. Still eating well...
Gratitudes - nice phone call with DD1, virtual coffee with colleague, calm days at work

Wednesday- still on 4 NSDs, as the weather was still pretty awful thought we might as well get the food shop out of the way today as the forecast is better tomorrow.
Other than that we have done very little today, I have eaten ridiculously badly- the downside of doing lots of baking 😁. We did play some games and do some craft so not a total waste of a day but not far off it. Fingers crossed the forecast is correct and we can get out and be a bit more productive tomorrow.
My main gratitude today is for my house- pre lockdown in the old house, if the weather was bad I would have gone to my parents most days as I just didn't like being stuck in the house. The difference now is amazing. I'd still rather be out and doing things, but I'm quite relaxed with the idea of being stuck inside this house.6
