Hello Daisies and Diamonds, just to say I grateful for a very slow Monday morning, a week off, except for various things that needs doing and for living with my holiday guests :-) And a lovely walk with a friend on Saturday. Now worried about my dog as she tore her dewclaw yesterday so I will have to take her to the vet tomorrow.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Today will be NSD4 -all food will be from stores, will make a loaf of soda bread as they are about to run out of squashy square white toastie loaf.Blue skies but very half-a$$ed snow flurries, pretty but really it lacks ambition ( C- for effort). The heating is ON.Today will involve vague and general ground floor cleaning - need to fold that clean laundry (yawn) before it gets taller than the kitchen table. Might mop, might not - I'm wild and crazy like that.Hugs to all Turtles - whether out and proud, or hidey lurkers. For no good reason, I am finding April really difficult.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning Turtles.
Having a lovely long weekend with my DGF. Been to the beach and had fish and chips. Relaxing together and giving her a bit of a makeover. She has inherited some of my clothes and, gave her a mini make-up look. It was a lot of fun, and no spending for her, and I will have the joy of some of my beautiful clothes, which are too small for me, being worn.
Gratitudes for Saturday and Sunday.

Lovely weekend also here. Not very MSE as we did a lot of eating out. Probably ate too much as well but it was all delicious and good value overall, although we did overindulge. Back into the routine now, no bank holiday here.
Grateful for sunshine, for being able to grasp some concepts in a complicated book I'm reading (maybe my brain still works after all!) and for BF batch cooking dhal.

Haven't really done much here but its been a bit of a break, especially for MrPorridge, I still have the two weeks school hols but he's back at the desk tomorrow. I've had a look in the freezer to try and start a meal plan, I keep trying to do this and then falling at the first hurdle. We have loads in and could eat out of the freezer for months I just need to make sure I take the right stuff out every day. Apart from that we went out to put petrol in MrP's car (the excitement of it all) and found a non full book bank to put two bags in, mostly recipe books that MIL had passed on. (She hates throwing anything out, even giving it to charity shops so gives it to us for us to get rid of) Result in that its some more stuff out the house. Really cold and windy here so I'm now just catching up on diaries and things.
Grateful to be able to do nothing and to do it in the company of a happily snoozing cat.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

NSD No 2
No walking as I have a blister on my heel which is pretty painful. But, I was up early and by ten o'clock I had accomplished more than I usually do in a day (and sometimes more!). Got the washing pegged out on the line and it's now all dried. Isn't it lovey when you can hang it outside? Accomplished quite a lot.
Had mackerel salad for lunch and there's a home made cottage pie ready to be heated up in the oven. I've been a bit lazy with the the cooking recently so a priority for this month is to get back into it again.
My hairdresser opens tomorrow so I hope if I phone early I'll maybe manage to get an appointment for early next week. It looks like a bird's nest at the moment.
I'm just waiting to see what travel restrictions are going to be relaxed today although I still don't think I'll be going anywhere anytime soon.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Today I am grateful for a quiet day, for wood staining/treating the back fence before the rasps grow and make it impossible to do it without looking like I've had a fight with a dozen cats (and lost), for the excitement of a few flakes of snow, for doing some school prep, for Wonder Woman.

Evening all, semi productive day. Did some organising in the basement and then went to the dump with the unwanted items. Gave the kitchen a good clean, did some pilates and finished a book. Ended up vegetating for the rest of the day.
Been trying to find a replacement bath panel as ours is broken and the door smashes into it every time we open and close it, but I can't find a single one thats the right length. I'm not confident in DIY so really don't want to have to cut one to the right length but that might be the only option... anyway, another NSD in the bag so that's good.

Evening everyone
Started well this morning with two loads of washing on the line and finished another part of my qualification. Then my friend popped round to collect a bedside cabinet i bought off Fb that she is going to upcycle for me
Ended up sat outside chatting to her for 2 hours! Was lovely but then i couldn't get back into my studies. I did a little bit, had a late lunch then went for a walk, then sat down with a cuppa tea and watched escapism TV for a couple of hours. Have got clean sheets to put on my bed which i'm looking forward to getting into very soon. Have also been very spendy as i ordered a book for my friend's birthday - bought from a second hand site - & ordered my sis a card and a present for her 50th. I have eaten well today though ...
Gratitudes - catching up with my friend; nice phone call with DD2; making some (albeit slow) progress with my studies today
