I have only just discovered Wallander, and found all 4 series available on BBc i player about a fortnight ago, but after the first week they all suddenly became unavailable- which was really annoying - so I have had to switch to Netfl1x, where dh has the bare minimum subscription (about £8 a month), and they are all on there.I am new to streaming (I am sooooooo last century) but honestly there is n-o-t-h-i-n-g on the tellybox at night at the moment, and as I am finally getting bored, I am having to look around for things to occupy myself.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for finding the right chocs that dd wanted to give her friend, for a chat with said friend's mum, for my aubergine lentil curry being much tastier than I had expected, for the televisation of the women's six Nations rugby matches.

Evening, a planned spend day today. Did the big monthly grocery shop, then will just need to buy fresh stuff each week til the end if the month. Was quite tired after lugging if in from the car & putting it all away, but made myself go & do an hour in the garden before tea. The wind has picked up quite a bit now, so I'm glad I went out, as tomorrow is forecast bad weather!
I hope you all have a lovely Easter 😊Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Saturday- NSD 2/16.
Have had a really good day, spent the morning sharing activities I love with DD who luckily is loving them as well. It's great to be passing on experiences to make memories she will have forever. Then the afternoon was chilling with the pony and spending some time in the garden with our neighbours.
Have managed to get over 20000 steps so that's a bonus as well.
Grateful today for being allowed to socialise a little bit, memory making fun (even if that phrase is a little cringey) and easter eggs.7 -

Happy Easter everyone!!!!
I am only just setting out my stall now. Sorry.Debts first:
My focus is on saving. At the moment I’m freelance and this has been difficult as my incomings vary each month, but from mid-April I will have a permanent job with a steady income so my plan is to get a savings account and sweep money into it automatically on each payday. I will keep an EF in my current account. I have no idea what savings accounts are any good here, so will have to do some research.
My first target is 4K to reach by Christmas.
Income enhancement:
My goal is to save for a mortgage deposit. I want to assume I am doing it alone, and if bf comes along for the ride, well that’s great. I should be getting 4 NSds a week realistically, I will push for 5.
Achievements and Aims:
I want to have a proper work routine. Wake up early, be very focused and do my job well. I have a huge opportunity with this new job, and I don’t want to mess up. I’ve had a lot of unfocused years leading up to this, and now it’s time knuckle down and see what I can do. I will know in myself if I'm doing my best.
Morning motivation:
I want to wake up at 7am and get some reading in before work quietly. My new job starts at 9:30 which is a mile away from 8am / 7 am when I was teaching, so I want to make the most of it. Also, I get a 2 hour lunch break which is quite annoying to be honest - very typically spanish but I will try to make the most of that and try to use the gym at lunch time.
Organised:
I needed work clothes. Have bought a couple of tops and a cardi but probably need a few more. Also bras and a pair of shoes. Will go shopping next week in a quiet moment. I have some stuff to take back to the shop so will aim to spend no more than €100.
I will meal plan for the upcoming week today.
NSDs: Lets aim for 16 this month Turtles.
I’m not doing very well so far as we have had a week off work so we have been eating out quite a lot. Time to rein it in now.
Determined: Determined to be focused and organised. To be there for my family despite it being remotely. To exercise and meditate.
Set out your stall:
4 days late but I’m here!!

Daisies
Delight: I will write gratitudes every day.
April: I have treasured some day trips we have done this week for Easter around the outskirts of Madrid. one to a beautiful town called Patones in the hills. It was so nice walking in the hills in the warm sunshine, no sounds except the birds…I need to do this more often instead of staying in the city all weekend.
Inner-peace:
I have only recently begun to crack this one. I have been kinder to myself and having fewer regrets. I will keep it up. Also meditation.
Stay safe, and stay sassy! Will do!
Inspiration: Definitely!! Here's something I saw this morning which was quite apt:
"You do not become good by trying to be good, but by finding the goodness that is already within you and allowing that goodness to emerge." - Eckhart Tolle
Exercise: Every day I will try to get sweaty!!
Share: I donated to a foodbank yesterday in UK and I’m going to do the same here in spain.

Today is NSD 2/16 and I’ve just done an end of week account sweep - £26.10 into savings.
I was planning on buying fence paint and caulk for some home improvements today but I’m feeling rubbish with the cold as is OH and DS. One of the downsides of DS being back at nursery are the bugs he brings home. But the upside is it’s made me feel too tired to spend. 😂
OH enjoyed his birthday last week and really liked his gifts - success! DS’s birthday is tomorrow so I’m grateful to have the day off work to spend with him and we’ve both got a hair appointment too!
The 25-minute cleaning a room each day is going well so far. I did miss the living room this week because work ended up busy and I was too tired, but I’ll catch it next week. Probably skip it today unless I get a boost of energy.
Grateful for OH leaving me to sleep this morning, making me tea, and keeping DS entertained.
