NSD 5. Did a little measuring outside and some tidying inside. Still sluggish (not helped by getting out of bed in the middle of the night to turn the faulty alarm going off) so doing something every time I feel able to move and a few 'extra bits' - cleaned my glasses under the tap as I have acquired spots - think it must be fine soil dust landing on my face and then ground in where the bridge is. Let mum watch episodes 2 and 3 of Line of Duty so only just got the laptop back. Have pulled out my bedside trolley and cleared out all the stuff that had fallen behind the bed (trolley was in the wrong place as mum wanted hair clips last week and they are in the bag with the rollers in one of the bed storage drawers - very awkward to get at).
Grateful for getting the trolley back in it's proper place (no more contortions to get in and out of the room), another lovely lamb dinner (with chips for a change) and easy food from use ups, enjoying some leisure activities (couldn't concentrate on puzzles, games or reading so I must be better than I was).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Another stormy, snowy day today, so apart from feeding the outside animals, & getting coal & wood, I've stayed inside. Read my book this morning (will finish it tonight), made soup using the stock from yesterday's chicken, then sat hand sewing the ears & paw pads on a teddy. Put it on a local craft selling page & had sold it in 5 minutes!!
I've been knitting this evening & have just finished the second sleeve of a jumper for my son, so just the neck to do now. Yippee!
Haven't eaten very healthily today, doesn't help that I'm the only one eating the large Rhubarb crumble, as hubby is still not well.Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Monday- still NSD 3, but I only bought bread today so not much of a threat to the budget 😁. The weather has been awful all day, typical when the schools are off. DD and I spent minimal amounts of time outside avoiding the worst of the snow and wind. I did manage to get DD to go through some toys that I don't think she has touched since we moved and a bag is ready to pass on (a smaller bag than i would have liked, but anything leaving the house is a win). We also baked and iced some cupcakes and did a lot of lazing about 😂.
Grateful today for staying mostly warm and dry, getting DD to have a mini clear out without any drama and the baking cupboard being well enough stocked up that cake baking was possible.7 -

Few bits and bobs food and house stuff. £5 spent and NSD gone ;-(Was hard getting up for work today not helped by snow flurries and sunshine at same time. Decided on casual outfit, jeans and big jumper so glad I did Office was cold, high ceilings and old building, at least save on heating being here.Grateful forLovely weekend off, roast dinners and chocolateGetting my house sorted out, plus cleaned my oven.Having heating, hopefully BG might refund cost I had to pay an engineer as they couldnt get to me within 5 days due to strike action. Hello turtles
Today will be NSD 1. Not good but better late than never.
I haven't had a very productive day, finding it hard to get back into a routine. Not motivated at all.
Suspect it will be to do with not exercising and eating pretty badly over the past week!! I feel a little better after skipping outside and sitting in the sun for 20 min.
Grateful however for…having an easy morning of teaching, for a warm sunny day.

Been a quiet day today, Not accomplished very much but I have an appointment with the hairdresser next Tuesday. Goodbye grey, bird nest hair.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
Evening all, what an odd day, as I type the sun is shining beautifully but snow is also falling!!
Met a friend this morning for a walk, then met another friend to go to Costco, I spent £40, about half of which wasn't necessary (hello wine!) but I'm not going to beat myself up because it's a treat. There's being frugal but there's also living a little! My friend bought a humongous pizza that would probably feed about 6 people, and it doesn't fit in her fridge so she had to cook it straight away. She lives alone so no idea what she's actually going to do with so much pizza!
Put some henna in my hair and my greys have disappeared, looks lovely and is super soft, should see me through for a good while. Can't wait to have it cut though!
Grateful for a cheeky bottle of wine or two, seeing friends and booking my first swim session for next week, I absolutely cannot WAIT.4 -
NSD yesterday and today - saved from a smkt visit by an 0li0 pickup
will need to go tomorrow, though
Have eaten way too much chocolate 🍫 and cake 🎂 😋 - need to rein it back in!!
Thankful for colourful tulips 🌷 on the table, playing games with the children, the washing getting mostly dry today before the hail/ rain 💧/ snow ❄ , for getting some family history stuff done and finding out DD went to primary school with a previously unknown 3rd cousin!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205 -
Hello turtles,
That's the birthday celebrations for OH and DS over for another year, but there's a ridiculous amount of chocolate lingering: caterpillar cake, chocolate cake, chocolate Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies, chocolate train, chocolate dinosaur... there will be NO chocolate on our shopping list for quite a while!
Today is NSD 3/16. I finished my book! On to the next... another free library audiobook.
I've been clearing out a bit today - filled another charity bag and listed some items for sale online.
Grateful today for sun 9despite the flurries of snow and it being so bloody cold), for OH making dinner, and for time to finish my book and a new one for free.
