You have one opportunity to file a Defence.

That's not strictly true - you can apply to the court for permission to amend a Defence once filed, but that costs £100 and permission is not guaranteed.

Probably best to go for the get it right first time approach.
Start preparing it now and hone it to perfection over the next couple of weeks.

Of course you know that a Defence is not the only stage. All stages are explained in the second post of the NEWBIES thread. I gave you a link to that post last week.
It costs £255 as the claimant MUST be informed, and only a strupid claimant wouldnt take the chance to object to you being allowed to amend the defence, forcing a hearing at this higher cost
OP - there is a template defence, takes you half an hour.

as was said earlier up the thread , Morrisons normally cancel .... so who did you contact ?

if it was customer services then please try again with the store manager and the CEO.
if they say they can not .... cos they do not own the land then ask who does.

I'm sorry for this stupid question:
According to KeithP, I have to send a defence by email to the CCBCAQ email address: CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk with a copy to the claimant (or solicitor), then, the CCBCAQ will send a DQ n180 that I have to return completed.

Is this step the same as writing my defence through the MCOL?
or is it a complementary step to the MCOL?

like I said, sorry if it's a stupid question but it's not very clear to me. Or maybe I'm over complicating the thing in my head...
    Thanks in advance

Do not try and attempt to file a Defence via MCOL.

If that was the way to do it, don't you think the NEWBIES thread would say that?
To save you checking - it doesn't.

And no, the instructions do not say anything about you sending a copy of your Defence to the Claimant.

You are making stuff up - which in turn is making things more difficult than they need be.

Thanks again. I mixed up some steps, my bad....
    10. "Send a copy of your completed DQ to the Claimant (or their solicitor if they are using one)"
I think I am overwhelmed with all this matter...

    Another stupid question....
Appeal to POPLA is only for Parkingeye / Golden Ticket?Or is it a step that I have to do anyway along with my defence? or later if my plea fails ...

Sorry if you're already starting to get fed up with me ...

Any opportunity you may have had to appeal to PoPLA disappeared ages ago.

Thank you, now I understand it, it was a previous step ... and I lost the opportunity at this point of the problem.
