Sorry internet is a bit hit and miss atm. On Sunday (really bad) I thought it was all the schoolchildren who suddenly remembered undone homework. Was trying to get something on the tv for mum to watch and the internet box kept slipping from green to pink/ orange/ red and flashing purpley pink. Then the telly box couldn't connect to it , so much turning it off and then turning it back on, getting it to the right colour - green or best of all blue, then going through all the screens to tell the telly box to look for signals, selecting ours then asking it to connect, only for the internet going off again. Couldn't get games to load yesterday until late evening.
Yesterday I went outside. I have 27 cabbage plants in yoghurt pots, about 3 dozen tomato seedlings transplanted, rescued the courgettes which had been nearly drowned by several days rain (I put them in a bucket to protect them from the wind). Set up some shelter which involved squeezing past tables and containers, pulling things out, up, over and then back to the other side to secure them. Staggered back into the house, threw tea into the oven, then sat shaking for about ten minutes (think it was just all my muscles unwinding/ cooling off). Lots still to do but done as much as I could for yesterday.
Watched the last episode of a series I had found for mum then a Jason Statham film (mum likes action films because it doesn't matter if she can't follow all the dialogue and the plots are usually simple, but she complains about the swearing afterwards).
Grateful for lots of raw veggies (ate a whole rainbow and a half yesterday), getting things done even when I'm not at peak fitness (not even moderate fitness really, just keeping going and doing what I can) and my bed and the CPAP machine. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Beautiful day but didn't get for a walk as Himself was expecting another delivery. However, I spent a goodly portions of the day planting and tidying up. My wee, gentle neighbour is over the moon with her pots of conifers, heathers and pansies. The smile on her face was well worth the little bit of effort and the small amount of money.
Caught up on some of the programmes that Himself recorded. They were really rather good. But at the same time I was watching our road out of lock down. I'm really happy that I can think about having my hair done and can maybe go for lunch with my cousins but I'm still a bit apprehensive. Maybe I'm just a bit over cautious.
I thought I would check about a December holiday in the Lake District just in case. We go there every year. Prices for accommodation have more than doubled (actually some of them have increased even more). I appreciate that it has been a difficult time for the industry but I think I'll leave it for now to see how the restrictions go.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Evening all, NSD for me today. Work was mental but I managed to catch up on stuff so feeling much less stressed following my mini meltdown yesterday. Managed to put my two new kitchen cabinet doors up during my lunch break so no longer have horrible warped ones. Cheaper than a whole new kitchen! Nothing much else to report.7

apple, I hope your daughter is okay and that even if its a slow mend its a steady mend.
My baby half brother arrives back from California tomorrow, he's going to my step mum's place (his Mum) on the other side of the country and he's going to quarantine there while she goes to stay with his sister for two weeks. No idea when I'll see him but I'm just glad he'll be back here. He's a very bright lad but tends to overthink things too much. he's been in California for two years working for NASA and then UCLA, but being stuck there during the pandemic hasn't helped his mental health. He's spent nearly a year in a studio apartment, Hardly been out the front door.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Tuesday- 11 NSDs.
No MSE news to report. Minimal exercise but food has been reasonably healthy- I'm about to ruin that by having a caramel egg though 😂.
Grateful today for a lunchtime visit to the pony just for a cuddle and a scratch, a bit of time going through one of the still-to-be-unpacked boxes while DD was on an on-line youth group meeting and a day off tomorrow with DD at school (my first day on my own for a long time).6 -
Evening, had a good day at work. Watched another episode of This is Us with DD2 (we're on episode 4 and already addicted!). Eaten fairly well and no cheese which is a rarity!
Gratitudes - nice chat with colleague about our retirement plans (a few years off for both of us but good to dreamhelpful meeting this eve for PT job; DD1 has a new colleague at work so hoping her job will be less stressful ...
