It is Van Gogh's Starry Night -so it is all sky! I am starting to think I might be blue/blue colourblind.
It all looks the same! Oh well, keeps me off street corners. I keep going back to it.
Today will be NSD6. Went out for a run early doors, then back for 7.15 and coffee and breakfast. Laundry on the line for a while but keep having horrible hail storms, so have caved and bunged it all in the dryer.Top 2 floors cleaned and hoovered, apple crumble made (and eaten) chik'n leek and sweetcorn pie made (also eaten), easy supper tonight of burgers and salad (needs eating), coleslaw and oven chips.I could sleep right now, so going to have a cuppa and go and get another frog off the list.Happy Weekend Turtles!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

More planting (for the neighbour) and some tidying. Bit more decluttering as well.
Can you declutter a Tivo box? Ours is full of programmes that Himself has recorded, watched and refuses to delete. However, this afternoon we watched The Grand Budapest Hotel. I thought it was a bit quirky and couldn't really get into it but Himself loved it. Then the film of Absolutely Fabulous. That was hilarious. Both deleted now.
Lots out of the freezer today including a huge piece of roast beef for tomorrow's dinner. First time we'll have had dinner with the Boy since Christmas. Really looking forward to it.
Highlight of the week tomorrow. Tesco delivery.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Having MIL around for dinner tonight for Mother's Day as Saturdays are easier for us than Sundays. I've got a chicken to start roasting in a few minutes and have made a trifle, homemade sponge, homemade custard. I forget how easy it is making proper custard, just need to go whip some cream up and pipe it on in a bit. I'm not sure why I'm making the fuss as MrPorridge came back from doing her shopping earlier with his head in his hands. She always gets a bunch of flowers for her mother and late FIL's mother (both deceased) but she gets them to remind her of them, asked Mr Porridge to get some but there was not a single bunch left in L*dl so he bought her some bulbs as she could keep those and get more than one year out of them, it wasn't what she wanted. Poor MrPorridge also buys her flowers every Saturday, 52 weeks of the year, his no good younger brother sends her one bunch of tulips for Mother's Day, you know the rest, prodigal son etc.
Need to do some school work tomorrow, it seems never-ending at the moment.
Still, grateful for getting a whole washing basket of clutter out the house into neighbours bins before they were collected yesterday (about 12 random electric leads that I will never have to see again), having some moments of glorious sunshine today and a lie in to look forward to in the morning.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Belated thanks for all my birthday wishes
I got my takeaway on Sunday evening instead
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer - sprout curry sounds interesting!
@ditty1234 - belated congratulations on your citizenship!
Have temporarily lost 1 member of our household for a few weeks - DS1 has gone back to his uni house - taking with him a cooler box full of freezer foods and 3 large bags for life of cupboard foods/ toiletriesGives me some space back!
Will give his room a thorough clean whilst he is away... it really needs it! DS2 and DS3 have both been back to school this week and I've even done a few hours of paid work
Not sure where I am up to with NSD - though I really haven't spent much/ often. I have been super organised and bought most of my sister's bday present, though - from Amaz000n with vouchers from shopping apps - s0 no real cost to me
Just need something consumable to go with it - which I may make (obv much closer to the time!!)

Evening all, clocked up another NSD today. Woke up with a banging head and back ache, so did my physio and some pilates and it was all good. Went for a walk with a friend on her lunchbreak, then did a short resistance band workout before getting some chores done around the house. Now just time to lounge watching terrible TV for the rest of the night.
Got a refund of my credit for my energy bill, but they've also accidentally cancelled the direct debit! So I really need to call them to reinstate it. I checked my accounts this evening and everything is looking good.
Grateful for a sunny walk, getting some decent exercise, and reruns of terrible TV from the 90s.4 -
Thanks all I celebrated my citizenship lockdown style; prosecco and pizza and the last episode of Deutschland 89. And @ldee2111 I'm from that little flat sticky up bit on top of Germany, with a Bridge and a few islands.
To day is back to earth day - did some creative writing and a run, and a big shop, seems like spending never stops this month. Time to stop it. The spending.
My bit of banana root finally sprouted and now there's a gnat eating away at it, I have used some spray with no effect, I'm not happy. My bamboo seeds are looking a bit fat, either they are rotting away or they're sprouting. I'll give them another 2 weeks or so.
Went for a long run this evening, lovely golden hour. Still waiting for my shoes though,Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Saturday- still on NSD 9/17. I have done the food shop for the week- with a whole week of meals planned this time!
Grateful today for getting out for a run (and going faster than the same distance last weekend), managing to keep up with small bursts of house cleaning/tidying, an online catchup and a plan for an actual meet up (outdoors) with a friend.3 -

Good morning turtles!
I’m up bright and early today, listening to the birds and the boiler doing its rumble-hum thing.
Today will be NSD 7/17 and I’ve just done an end of week sweep - sweeping budget underspends into a mortgage OP. This week: £30 from leisure, £30 from transport, and £9 from food. £69 I’ll never pay another day’s interest on! As lockdown eases, these sweeps will be lower in value. Transport and leisure will most definitely jump up. We have lots of family and friends we want to spend time with who are 40 miles-plus away.
My one pair of leggings finally gave in yesterday after a year of almost constant wear. I could sew them, but they look so sad and worn out. It’s time for them to retire. I’ve treated myself to a new pair from the rainforest retailer - £10.99 with good reviews about quality and reviewers’ photos. I don’t like to buy fast fashion and I prefer to try clothes on in shops. Hopefully the reviews are accurate and they last a decent amount of time, and fit nicely. I feel I’ve pinned a lot of hope on these £10.99 leggings. 😂
Today I’m going to pull out my big box of clothes I put away a year ago and bring out some nicer clothes for spring/summer. I’ve lived literally in the same pair of leggings, 2 pairs of jeans, 3 t-shirts, 2 hoodies, 1 jumper, and 1 cardigan for a year! I am so sick of looking at them!
It’s DS’s and OH’s birthdays next month and I really need to get thinking of gift ideas. DS is easy - going to look for some second-hand football goals for him. But after almost 2 decades with OH, i struggle to think of pressies for him. He likes cooking so will start from there - possibly some virtual class.
Right, it’s time for me to get up and make moves on today’s tasks!
Have a good day all.
