NSD No 9
It was cold and wet but I spent a bit of time planting up some containers for my neighbour.
Had some lovely venison burger with wegies and a pineapple and chilli chutney that has been in the cupboard for ages. It was delicious.
Didn't sleep well last night so I'm off to bed with a book.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Congrats ditty! I hope you had a celebratory dinner whatever it ended up being.
Friday- NSD 9/17, haven't had time to stop all day so no time to shop even if I had wanted to. Work was crazy, and I have a list a mile long to deal with and the more I do tonight the less it will affect the weekend.

Hope all turtles are well.
NSD 6/17 for me today.
Grateful for a 4-day work-week, and for the time to do two walks, listen to the Guilty Feminist podcast (hilarious episode with special guest, author Marian Keyes), as well as my current audiobook.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7 -
I had mine live what seems like centuries ago. I found it all very strange, a bit of a desperate attempt at stirring patriotism. I saw it very much like you, a formality to be done. My MIL was all teary eyed and dreams of Union Jack bunting though.ditty1234 said:Morning all, so I am finally having my citizenship ceremony today and it is on teams in the middle of a work day. And that is basically how I see it - a matter of business, the business of living in a country for a long time. But how do I celebrate it? Or do I just ignore? I think I'll just make a nice dinner, something British perhaps? Whats the most British (but yummy) dish, maybe a curry, or hmm. Still wondering about that one.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

I have completed week 1 of 3 of the school run!Used more petrol this week than in the last month, will have to fuel up for the first time since 1st Feb, and am suffering with clutch knee, which hopefully will disappear soon with a hot water bottle on it.Gratitudes: made progress with ds3's annoying jigsaw (I really want my floor back), hot water bottles, it's the weekend!4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Congrats ditty !
Turtle hugs to Calling
Had a frustrating morning at work with uncooperative tech. DD2 was still feeling rough after the vaccine so we went for a takeaway coffee. Rushed to my dentist appointment but need to go back for repair which was a bit annoying but was my fault
Had book group on z00m earlier then watched Matt Haig talking at an online lit fest. Bought DD2 some snazzy trousers from bay of E for her birthday, hoping they arrive on time....
Spent some money on food and takeaway coffee but much TLC and hot water bottles needed for DD2
gratitudes - it's friday, early night and hot water bottles, Gogglebox on plus 1

Congratulations @ditty1234. Hope you had something nice to celebrate. Before lockdown one of my friends did the citizenship test and shared some of the questions with me. I would fail it miserably. Some things I had never even heard of! If you don’t mind me asking Ditty, where are you from originally?NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6

You need a board for the jigsaw f0xh0les. Not the posh £60 ones (although I think I've seen some rolls on sale somewhere) but any old bit of chipboard/ cardboard/ even a vinyl offcut might work (I have a piece of mum's bathroom cladding but I've used it outside for heaping soil on - and painting) then you can shove it back under the couch when not being worked on.f0xh0les said:I have completed week 1 of 3 of the school run!Used more petrol this week than in the last month, will have to fuel up for the first time since 1st Feb, and am suffering with clutch knee, which hopefully will disappear soon with a hot water bottle on it.Gratitudes: made progress with ds3's annoying jigsaw (I really want my floor back), hot water bottles, it's the weekend! My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -
I have a big sheet of cardboard @mothernerd it gets shunted about a little, but I am fearful of losing bits. So it is in front of the fireplace. I am about half way through - ds3 bought it, opened it, decided there were too many bits of the same colour, then abandoned it. I am hoping he is going to get involved at some point soon.

I use mum's placemats for loose bits (one for sky/ trees/ fur, any large amount of colour) lay them out in a single level and I can stack them to take up less space/ shuffle bits around to make up a block and it's easier to find particular pieces - one this sort of shape but a bit bigger at that side or blue with fluffy bit of white to one side.f0xh0les said:I have a big sheet of cardboard @mothernerd it gets shunted about a little, but I am fearful of losing bits.
