NST March 2021: a turtle rollercoaster

Quiet day. Pegged washing on line and also put the big woolly quilt out - required major effort and not much of my body working today. Lots of reading and resting and a bit of tidying.
Grateful for easy food (have put a delivery in for tomorrow but will mostly continue using bits from the freezer and some of the tinned stock - can reduce the number of soups and tinned rice pudding as hopefully the worst of winter is over, have been having smaller orders and spacing them out), sugar free cordial (very dilute) and my bed.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

Top-up shop today. Still on 5/17 NSD.
I did an account sweep this morning. This is where I sweep all unspent budget from the previous week into mortgage OPs. Last week we had underspends in food, leisure, and transport totalling £37. That's £37 we'll never pay any interest on again.
Good day at work, DS had a good day at nursery, but not a good dinner this evening. It was one of the subscription box recipes. We'll definitely use 2 of the 3 recipes again - Korean-inspired chicken burgers, and black bean tacos. But the udon noodles with mushrooms didn't tickle our taste buds like the others. Too salty, too slimey.
Grateful for relaxing rain sounds, tea, free online training.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -
Today I am grateful for dd getting back to school, for finding a reduced vegan + gf choc cake (10 portions) for dd, for step dd2's partner replying re bday ideas for her, for a good friend landing a job she wanted, for having a plan (a very cunning plan) for tomorrow.

Another strange and mixed up day at school, its neither online or in person yet but a confused mixture of both, the building is full of zombie like staff rushing about trying to find an unused computer before the next lesson as some people's classrooms are now being used for real live students.
Gratitude is another good day's eating - I really need to break some bad patterns, drank lots of water today as well.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

Gratitudes - great virtual team meeting at FT job; days getting longer so can go for a walk after work; lovely colleagues at PT job who are giving me an ex-gratia payment for extra work done last year
Also the news shared by f0xh0les - missed that as been working most of the day

Tuesday- NSD 6/17.
It's very cold and windy today, which reminds me I need to do something about new windows!
Grateful today for a fun day at work, dinner out of the freezer (Thank you organised past me for batch cooking!), snowdrops and a slightly larger tidy area of the house.8 -
Happy hump day folks, hold on to your shells turtles, tad blustery out there. NSD 6/17 I need milk today and maybe chocolate oops, will try not to!Good nights sleep last night it makes such a difference.I am not a bathroom planner and now stressing out so much about what materials are needed, how long it will take and the cost. Better stock up on wet wipes can pretend I am at Glasto.Stayed in office at lunchtime which mean my back will play up later unless I get a walk done.Grateful forFreezer - finding soup in there today, other meals batch cooked can use up this week.Yes Piers Morgan off our screens, he's rude, arrogant and just likes hearing his own voice. Just a shouting match in the mornings I usually have my 5 mins brekkie time with BBC instead.Hopefully de clutter a bit tomorrow, charity bag collection at home.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

Not a NSD but worth every penny to have the windows cleaned. At least I can add it to the budget now and put the cash in an envelope a the beginning of the month, isn't it sad when you get so excited about having clean windows?
I've been up since early this morning but it's been raining all day again so no walk. Did venture out for a little while to tend to the "garden". It's beginning to look quite nice with the heathers and connifers and they are quite low maintenance so I might buy some more next month.
Using what we can from fridge, freezer and stores and trying hard to east healthily with fruit and veg. Managed another few bits to the recycling. It seems never ending.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
NSD number 7 today, went into court for work. Wore my new suit and smart shoes, wasn't really the weather for it but such a change from wearing trackies! Did loads of work related frogs as I finally had access to a printer too. Also had my second dose of the vaccine! Apparently the second dose hits harder so we'll see how I feel tomorrow.
Grateful for a good night's sleep yesterday, a good day at work, and the vaccine.4
