hi everyone
This morning i tried to sort WfH allowance with HMRC, not straightforward for me as i have a FT employed job plus some self employment. Had 2 online chats and thought i understood what to do but failed on the first question so i need to phone and speak to an actual person with the form in front of meWas very grumpy after spending an hour trying to sort it so I cleaned the kitchen and fridge so i have a nice environment in which to be a grump. Went for a bike ride this afternoon which was lovely but very cold. Have made some progress with my qualification. Brought indoors a lavender candle i found in the the garage to give me calming vibes while i study. Did a big shop at Mr A but have achieved 4 x NSDs so far.
Gratitudes - a dry day for washing on the line and bike rides; nice phone chat with DD2; liquorice alsorts

Some digging has been done and all the filled water bottles are behind/ at the side of the shed (hidden by the water butt). No money spent so I think NSD 2.
Grateful for getting stuff done, not falling over, easy food (bought a couple of 'cheat meals' for days when I'm doing heavy work - breaded fish with chips and mushy peas for lunch and a couple of wraps later. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Happy birthday @Greent I hope you get your takeaway another day. MrPorridge had a productive day before I even got up, he's taken the chest of drawers that we've replaced with the desk to the tip and got rid of a bag of batteries (from MIL) a bag of books (into charity box) and four old routers (1 from MIL) into Freeport recycling bag and into parcel drop, so quite a few things out the house. I want to get into the little spare room / office later today and try and get some bits sorted in there. Last week I emptied two bottles of bubble bath, Darth Vader and C3PO into an empty soap dispenser so we're using that as shower gel but we still have Boba Fett full. I had hoped that MrPorridge might part with the empty bottles on eBay but no luck. I'm sure that a significant percentage of clutter in the house has either a Star Wars or a Star Trek logo on it.
@F0xh0les I hope that doesn't mean we're destined for chillies and ginger next week.
Today I'm grateful for a nice sunny if cold day, a cosy cat asleep at my feet and having some less stuff in the house.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

It was a lovely day today but I didn't get a walk as we were waiting for the Tesco delivery. Did get a bit of fresh air planting seeds and tidying.
Did a washing and for the first time in ages I was able to hang it outside. I've done bits and pieces of housework and made soup for the Boy's lunches so it's not been entirely non productive.
Must go and make a list of jobs for this week and a meal plan of sorts which will hopefully use us some stuff for the freezer.
Bit noisy with fireworks around here at the moment. Apparently some football team won a competition!!!!Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Evening all, no NSD here today either, this isn't my finest start to the month! Went for a nice horse ride this morning, managed to have a good blast and had some fun. Then met a friend for a walk and a coffee, I paid as she paid last time. As I'd lost my NSD, I also bought some vitamins online and a book I'd been after (secondhand). All spends were within my weekly budget.
Had a lovely bubble bath with epsom salts just now, I feel super relaxed and ready to fall asleep already!
Grateful for reading a really good book about managing arthritis without drugs; a lovely horse ride; enjoying some stunning views on my walk.7 -
greent - Happy Birthday.
NSD 5 today. Deleted some emails. Done a tidy bit around the flat.
Grateful for:
Speaking to brother, sister and nephew on phone.
Made scones.
Having a chilled out day.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20136 -
NSD 3. A little bit of very gentle work done outside. Made 'Sunday lunch' for tea (mum only wants one big meal a day - soup/ sandwich or a snack for the other). Most of my right side is not working (wielding a spade).
Grateful for time to things easy, thinking through a few things to make life easier (more morning things, cutting up celery and carrots so healthy snacks are always there, a once a week list so that 'extras' don't get left to the point where there is a problem), quick check in with DS3 (not much progress but know where we are up to).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7
