NSD No 6
Apparently the road digging alarm clock works on a Saturday as well.
Had a 3 mile walk today. Not far but getting further every time and I'm consoling myself with the fact that I've been out four days of of six. Not bad since I haven't been out at all for ages.
Also managed to get some biggish household chores out of the way.
Lovely surprise from Himself. A big bottle of my favourite perfume. It's quite difficult to get hold of in the UK but he found it on the internet. He said he was trying to find it for Christmas but only managed to get it now. Sometimes he still manages to surprise me after all these years.
Food delivery day tomorrow - not that we really need any.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
House cleaning day again (comes round quick!) and all beds stripped and remade. Have a vague plan and a huge laundry mound.Gratitudes: vague plan, mangoes4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I can't believe how quickly this week has gone. I've overpaid the mortgage by £1600.00ish and just added another £5 to it from PA so that's good. We hd a no students online day at school yesterday but I still didn't get much done. I'm really struggling with topics to teach 7's and 8's, when normally half your time is spent doing practical and a lot of lessons revolve around practical lessons past or future, three and a bit terms of online is really hard to fill and it looks like at least ten more weeks to go. Next week is a sort of holding pattern though as we get some students in for tests spread across the week and have to teach others online, I think online attendance might be very low.
We had a third week of celeriac fro Fareshare and the most enormous and gorgeous papaya's - not sure what our families will make of these but I have sent instruction sheets out in the boxes, we had lots of aubergines as well. Have you had these @F0xh0les?
In terms of reset, I''ve finally made an appointment to see the dentist on the 31 March. This is a big thing for me as I am terrified after having a very traumatic experience as a child. I now have a lovely lady I go to but still need to steel myself up and I've been avoiding it for about two years between lockdown and whatever but have a wisdom tooth pushing through and its caused the tooth below it to break, its not painful, yet but I can't leave it.
Gratitudes for today are, a good long sleep last night (I only really woke at 9am), a lot less teams in my life from Monday and not having to cook tonight as MIL has said she'll treat us to a Chinese.

No NSD today, but all spends planned. Bought some litter for the rabbits' litter trays, also bought them some treats (they are spoiled!). And shopping delivery today as well. Also just had a chippy tea, a naughty treat but cheep and cheerful.
Was on call this morning but didn't get called in which is always good! Managed to deep clean the kitchen instead. Went for a walk and had an absolute disaster climbing over a gate, snagged my trousers and ripped a huge hole in them! They can't be salvaged sadly so will need a new pair.... comical but annoying.7 -
NSD 4 today.
Grateful for:
Went to my favourite shop to pick up free hot cross buns. There was a free treat offer that I added to my loyalty card.
A question and answer event with an author whose book I brought. There were 12 other people online as well.

Today I am grateful for finding a beautiful mint green metal watering can when out and about with dd, for athletics on the telly, for getting a decent lidl veg box + some meat bargains too, for the lovely people who run the newsagents, for my phlox starting to grow.Realised today that I have become well nesh (I think that is the word I want...) these last few months, and really feel the cold. I've gone so soft !!! I'll have to wear a woolly jumper back to work as I'm jolly well having the windows wide open. At least I'll be being tested twice weekly until the end of term and even if the tests are 'only' 50-75% correct, that's a lot better than crossing my fingers and hoping.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Hi all just checking in so list a few gratitudes - I have salvaged 3 pairs of trousers - my purple trousers are now very dark purple - almost black, 3 pairs of very wide waisted trousers now pretty much fit, as in they might not actually fall off. And a skirt that was a bit too flared is narrower and has slits to the knee - its sort of midi maxi length. So I feel I now have clothes to wear for going back to work on Monday, without going out and spending a fortune, which is very tempting, but hopefully now deflected, at least til after easter when shops might open.
I can't wait to soon start seeing friends, and on Monday I can book my citizenship meeting - where I get the actual certificate. Happy Saturday everybody. The pizza is in the oven and I am about to consider seeing the Deutschland 89 series, the previous 2 series were good, so am looking forwards to this one.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

@Porridgecat we had a sack of dirty spuds (our clients only like washed spuds - preferably in a sealed plastic bag), a whole crate of green chillies (loose), a crate of sugar snap peas ( again not bagged), a crate of aubergines, a crate of carrots, and the papaya that were bigger than a Jack Russell, a million pears (loose) and half a million oranges. Then a mixed crate of red and white cabbages and celeriac and the dreaded kalettes that looked much the worse for wear... and bizarrely, an entire box of loose ginger. Some of it down the bottom was very damp, and starting to smell a bit, so I have brought some of the not nice bits home in the hope that I can get it to sprout and turn it into ferny houseplants until I can harvest the root. There seem to be some bits thinking about being sprouts already!@ldee2111 I only really tidy the kitchen during the week, the rest of the place can go to pot, but it is in the diary for one day at the weekend that the whole house gets cleaned and tidied and the laundry cleared - I do not want to waste any energy thinking about it during the week. It even gets put in the diary. The bed changing is in the diary too, but that laundry can be moved slightly if there is a better day for drying on the line - then it can sit in front of the washing machine and look disapprovingly at me - I am a big girl, I can cope.Today was NSD 3, not left the house, the whole cleaning thing is definitely taking less time every week. Suppose it is just a routine, and the kids know their bedrooms are going to be hoovered whether they like it or not, so they are either keeping them tidy, or tidying as soon as they hear me coming up the stairs on a Saturday morning.ParkRun - the free 5km timed run/jog/walk on a Saturday morning in a park near you, recommences on 5th June, in case anyone wants twelve weeks to start the couch-2-5k. It is something to aim toward, and plenty of people walk it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
