Another shout out for journals and notebooks (so very many notebooks...I think it’s piper press that do some of the beautiful ones I have) and coloured pens (and felts and stickers...) ⭐️

I must admit that I have a fair few notebooks at my disposal already so in the interests of MSE I will be using those alrady in the house first. Another NSD today although tomorrow I will be hitting the supermarket with 2 days shopping money £20 and a shopping list which I have costed out to be roughly £19. I will also be taking the HT's old double mattress to the tip and going to see a house with my mate before work so that little lot should be enough to keep me out of trouble.

Most jobs done yesterday. The cake tin and biscuit tin are full even though I didn't get around to making the mocha squares yesterday. I'll make them on Thursday when the levels in the brownie tin will probably be significantly lower (the HT's partner is staying over tonight).

I've started filling in MFP in an effort to lose some more weight - it's also free so very MSE. I usually eat better when I'm running even if I can't run as far as I used to yet. I did five minutes continuous running on Saturday and ten minutes today so hopefully I will be able to run for longer soon.

I’m so impressed. I can’t run. I did a few circuits of the back garden with dog on Saturday, I imagine I looked like a very large mermaid who had just been given a pair of legs for the first time...then I had to stop and learn how to breathe again and turn my face to a lesser shade of in need of a paramedic purple. I have utmost admiration for runners of any kind!
I sometimes do MFP, but some things are quite hard to weigh and measure (plus disappointing when you find your saintly single wrap and few chips actually has enough calories to feed a village) 😖

@WinterWarrior I thought that I couldn't run either then I did C25K when I was 49. The first run nearly killed me - I weighed almost 2 stone more than I do now but it did actually get easier. Ever since, no matter how long I go without running I seem to be able to pick it up again as long as I start gradually with first 5 minutes then miss a day 10 minutes and so on until I'm back up to strength. The benefits for me outweigh the horror of actually runnng because if I don't then a wrongly curved spine means back pain and sciatica. I can't run on grass either because being hypermobile means that muscles aren't correctly supported by ligaments which translates in real life to "it hurts". Don't be impressed though, I know people that can actually walk faster than I can run 🤣

    Oh my! 😱

When my doggo was young he was very MSE and thoughtfully chewed up my bank card 🤣 and my son legitimately went to school with chewed up homework.

I’ve got a Jack Russell so know how lively they are, spaniels are also very lively, so a cross between the two OMG 😱 Fortunately mine has never destroyed anything just dug a few holes in the garden.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    Hi Cranky,
I've read your whole diary through today, during mini work breaks.

You're doing well with the debt busting. I also have a school leaver this year who's planning on going to college.  He's had an offer, just waiting on the non GCSE'S now.😬

    Keep going, I've subscribed 🙂

Thanks @Naomim. I hope your teen gets the required grades for college.  It's hard to tell where they are work wise as there were no mocks.

Today was a planned spend day. First of all the HT and I took a mattress to the tip and stopped at Maccies for a take home breakfast on the way back. The HT and I shared pancakes because we'd had our first breakfast at 6am....and we brought something home for the HT's partner's first breakfast. The HT paid, yay.

After I dropped the HT home I went to Asda with my two days shopping money. There were various requests from the teens so shopping came to £23.22. The HT gave me the extra £3.22 - I've started as I mean to go on. I was out at my bubble friends from 11am until work time but I left the teens a packed lunch each in the fridge. HT had the day off school to help me with the mattress - all exams finished so I thought I'd make life easier for myself by having a helper. Making them both a packed lunch stops them going through the cupboards like locusts. I also made a packed lunch for myself and my friend - we eat more healthily this way instead of eating cakes and junk at his sister's house.

I put my tomato plants out this morning. By the time I came home with my Looked after Person they'd been rained and hailed on - it was like the apocalypse here with thunder, lightning, hail and torrential rain. All of the plants fell over but only one snapped. It'll be interesting to see how (if) it carries on growing. Now I've brought them all back indoors it's sunny again.
