    Thanks @Blackcats.

Today was a no spend day. i have £15 in cash to shop with tomorrow. Needed items are cat litter and bread. Wants are some snack bits for my son for over the weekend (when I have no intention of going anywhere near the two closest supermarkets) and some tonic water.

Today was payday. I'm never completely sure when I'm getting paid as my wages are done by a third party employed by my looked after person's parents but it turned out to be today for April. I went food shopping this morning and took some coins out of the parking fund in the car to make up to £20 which would be 2 days spends but I only spent £15.42 so I put the rest of the coins back where I took them from. I did buy a bag of twirl bites for me. These would usually last me all month but my son's partner snaffled my half a bag that was left on Wednesday evening. I will hide this bag more carefully  😊

No change to my weight but I think that was due to me drinking the few cans of cider that were left in the fridge. It's now banned from the house again as I like it way too much and it's likely to cause waking up in the middle of the night with acid reflux. Even when I was a toddler cider flavoured lolly ices were my favourite 😂

Dinner this evening - lincolnshire sausages liberated from the freezer this morning  (proper butchers sausages), baked beans with added cheese, mushrooms and toast. One of my son's favourite meals and so quick and easy to make.

I'm feeling creative so hopefully I can do a bit more of the crochet blanket that I'm making this evening. It was going to be for me but my son's partner has a birthday coming up and really likes the same kind of blanket/throw that I've made for my son so I think this one is destined for elsewhere.

Mmm cider lollies! Second only to feasts in my humble opinion!
well done on the shop and extra well done for the calm way you speak of your twirl bites being snaffled..it gave me the rage just thinking about it 🤣 Have you tried them smooshed up on good vanilla ice cream?
I learned how to quilt by watching YouTube tutorials and I’ve often been sucked into watching crochet...I’d love to learn that when I have some time, the multicoloured blankets are amazing.

@WinterWarrior mini flakes are just the thing for smooshing onto ice cream 😁 I'd like to be able to do quiltng but there's enough hobby stuff in this house as it is. The new blanket will look like this pattern wise but is different colours. This is one I made for a friend - the one I made for my son is in grey shades.

The blanket is beautiful.  I love making crochet blankets they are relatively easy and if you go wrong it's much easier to put right than knitting.
I'd forgotten about cider lollies - they were delicious.  My favourite treat from the ice cream van was an oyster - all that yummy mallow and coconut.

@WinterWarrior , @Blackcats and @Honeysucklelou2 - you're all very kind. I reckon if we had an hour together I could show you all how to make the throw. It's easier than knitting although I do knit as well (knitted fairy lights took ages but they're worth it even if they don't light up).

Today should have been an NSD but when I looked this morning there was less cat food than I thought. Our cat tolerates me at best and I'm the one that feeds her so I've no wish to upset her. Cat food shopping was added to the list of today's "things to do". She's a Korat (ancient Thai temple cat) and she adores my son - I bought her as a friend for him when his dad died so that's her one redeeming feature.  My boss gave me £20 that she owed me (not wages, something else I did for her last week) when she dropped my Looked After Person off this morning so after I gave him back at 6pm I went and squandered it on cat food, £5 worth of curry ready meal for my dinner and £5 worth of plants for the garden. I got a lot of plants for that £5. Way more than I would have got for the same price in a garden centre.

The curry wasn't in the plan but my best friend was sat here drinking coffee when I should have been preparing my dinner and as it's a work day and I drop the LAP off at 6pm, that meant that by the time I'd done that and been for cat food it would have been too late to start messing around with things from the freezer. If I skip a meal or I'm late eating I risk a migraine and I'm not in the mood for one today - I'm in a good mood and it would be a shame to spoil it.

Korat’s are beautiful, I’m jealous! I have 5 at they moment, but the only expensive one is a Bengal and British shorthair cross and the rest are rescues and an x stray. I’d love a Norwegian forest cat, but not until the mog numbers reduce (in many, many years). Bengals are bonkers!
nothing wrong with a curry, it is Saturday!
